The tenth batch of fruits from our fruit orchard have been picked, and are ready to taste.

Born and based in Zürich (Switzerland), our label regular Jean Caillou has been producing music since 2012, always trying to create an interesting, joyful and pleasant audio experience.

He has released music on Copycow, Magician On Duty, and has been making waves on our imprint ever since our second release - with his track "Adamu" finding the Top 10 in the Beatport Hype chart for two weeks. Most recently, this Zürich's native talent opened up a compilation featuring Hosini, Powel and more.

Who better to bring you a first four-track EP on Sag & Tre than this man. Across all four tracks, Jean Caillou keeps the EP's identity clear, and keeps things organic, with his loose percussive and melodic style.

"Euphonie" is augmented with a thick, mid tempo kick and sparse, effective percussion. "Diffusion" takes turns for even better, balancing occasional chords, horns, blips and beeps, coupled with Jean's addictive, polished drum patterns. "Where Are You Now" takes the EP into a different mood. Carried by a beautiful bassline, glistening bell samples, and hopeful atmosphere, it slowly builds. We won't tell you what "Going In Circles" sounds like - just to leave you wanting more, after you hear it.

Silent Koalas are back with an exclusive remix procured from deep underground. We are proud to release the Wilson Costa & Tyler Schauman remix of Gregory Douglass' track Alibis. Gregory's original track was prominently featured in the 2018 Netflix original series "The Rain". This feature propelled Gregory's music to new heights and a greater international following. His evocative pop sounds are perfectly suited for a deep and house influenced remix. We Koalas are thrilled to have an exclusive remix of Alibis from two of our labels best.


This remix begins with a bright and hypnotizing piano melody immediately showcasing the spirit of the original track. Snappy percussion hits meld with swinging drum patterns to seep the track in groove. Lower atmospheric synths and a rumbling bassline flow in and out while strings accent the mix. The original vocals haunt the track with a smooth and airy texture as things gradually move to a satisfying crescendo.


Wilson Costa & Tyler Schauman combine their individual strengths to create a deep and moody remix sure to please listeners and dancefloors across the world. We here at Silent Koalas are very happy to showcase this excellent collaboration with you.

An undoubted talent, Rudy's "Time/Spirit" EP was a significant high-point in the Proton Music 2018 schedule. As the UK producer now returns to the label, a brand new three-track offering finds "All Things Fade".

An artist with a select but growing portfolio, Rudy's artistic talent continues to flourish with each passing release. Making his debut on Subjekt Recordings in May 2016 with the "Transformation" EP and remixes from Martin Roth and Kris Davis, Rudy went on to see his music find a home on the likes of Oleeva Records with the beautiful "Qualia" and Nie Wieder Schlafen with a stunning remix of Quatri's "Ozora".

Making his Proton Music debut in December 2017 with a standout remix of David Calo's "Chronomatic", Rudy quickly saw his "Time/Spirit" EP released in early 2018. Remix editions on both Particles and Proton saw new interpretations from Daraspa, Pysh and Mio & His Flute in the summer, while blue-chip reworkings from GMJ & Matter and Andrea Cassino for the flagship imprint, ended 2018 on a high.

As we now continue his story, Rudy returns with the masterful, "All Things Fade". The title track thus oozes quality as a plucked motif opens proceedings backed by a subtle shaker percussion section. Building delicately, new motifs emerge full of poise and melancholic air while a shuffling acoustic drum groove adds an organic touch.

"Real You" continues with a metronomic percussive groove that combines 4/4 beat with a combination of hats and shakers. Building throughout, a sumptuous melodic phrase built around reverb-laden piano enters the mid-range gradually increasing in intensity and complexity with the inclusion of occasional notes and reverse-reverb. As the beats ebb away at the breakdown, the central melody continues in stark isolation before a glorious growling bassline adds intensity and drama to the second half to create a stunning track.

The third piece sees "Reinvention" full of the melodic prowess so central to the EP as rhythmic phrases lock tightly against the groove and familiar piano refrains make their presence felt. Increasing in intensity, a stunning analogue bassline redolent in Moog prowess, powers its way through the track to create a rasping, rough-edged character that juxtaposes against the softer melodic elements. Pausing at the mid-point breakdown, the track erupts in the third movement again with bassline and a collage of melodic phrasing creating a rich and spine-tingling sonic palette.

As Rudy returns to Proton Music, it will be some considerable time before "All Things Fade".

Roger Martinez’s new Higher States imprint launches this week with three stunning tracks from the man himself. With a career now spanning well over a decade, the Dutch artist’s transcendent style has long been a favorite of the world’s top DJs, landing him releases on some of progressive music’s most esteemed imprints in Lost & Found, Replug and Sudbeat. Now starting a new journey, Roger presents the inaugural release on Higher States.

Having spent the first month of 2019 touring Australia the ethos of this collection draws on inspiration from Roger’s experiences there. Beginning with ‘Dreamtime’ we get a free flowing journey of redolent rhythms and effervescent electronics. It’s near ten minute running time is fluid throughout, showcasing delicate motifs and organic designs. Mystical yet emotive, these aesthetics are backed by a warm, pulsating groove, underpinning the track and translating it’s spiritual message to the dance floor. 

Meanwhile, the collection’s second selection ‘Songlines’ comes across a bit deeper with a more spacious groove sitting at the foundation. Smooth and dynamic, Roger’s attention to detail is once again at a premium, with evocative themes building subtly into a glowing main break that ultimately sits at emotional core of the EP. 

Rounding out the release is the quirkier ‘Billabong’ which once again showcases Roger’s nomadic style. Quite fresh and rhythmically buoyant, it’s also esoteric in mood and delivery, thus a fitting end to a spiritually uplifting collection from Roger. It rounds out what is a stunning debut for Higher States, with Roger crafting some of his most inspired productions to date here. Highly recommended.
