Making a mark on Proton Music on a regular occasion, GMJ and his "Mystic Sea" showed the Australian artist at his finest in late 2019. Returning to the title track, remixes come from UK and Israeli talents.

Imran Khan is a rapidly rising force in the world of underground dance music. Able to generate a beautifully original sound palette from the production tools available to him, the UK artist has shown a desire and passion to learn from his peers, understand his craft and apply new techniques to his work. Khan has subsequently amassed over a century of production credits in a three-year period that has seen him feature on a raft of high-profile imprints including Clinique, Stellar Fountain and Balkan Connection.

In addition, Particles and Proton Music have become a regular home for Khan's music with 2018's "Arrival" for the former and 2019's "Organik" and "Sunsweat" EPs for the flagship imprint in the latter half of the year. Taking "Mystic Sea" on a typically impressive new voyage, the Imran Khan remix glistens with rich a rolling groove tied to a subterranean bassline that carries the track dynamically forward. Retaining the feel of GMJ's original, a hypnotic lead riff echoes throughout while multi-textured pads fill the sonic space behind. Pulsating white-noise washes usher in a third movement as rhythm and bass take hold once more combined with melodic riff.

Following in the footprints of such luminary producers as Guy J, Khen and Guy Mantzur, Golan Zocher continues to forge his own path from his Israeli home with a growing collection of music that totals over a century of production credits. A respected DJ with a degree in audio engineering and his own Bloom Records, Zocher has found his work featured on such blue-chip labels as Pipe & Pochet, Nick Warren's The Soundgarden and Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital. Moreover, an appearance on the "Global Entry, Vol. 1" compilation for the best-selling Sol Selectas imprint was a further notable highlight in March 2020.

Making his Proton Music debut, the Golan Zocher remix of "Mystic Sea" bristles with chunky low-slung groove that evolves gradually with pads from GMJ's original, before a powerful driving bassline takes hold. Full of brooding menace, a searing lead motif with its roots firmly in "Mystic Sea", pierces the rhythmic melange showcasing its strength at the mid-point breakdown. A rippling arpeggio adds depth in the latter stages to create a work of power, craft and technique.

GMJ - Mystic Sea (Imran Khan Remix)

An artistic pairing with a rich musical heritage, Matt Rowan and Robbie Lowe light up Particles with "Luminary". Remixes come from renowned Latvian and Hungarian stars.

Matt Rowan and Robbie Lowe have been at the forefront of the underground dance movement for over 20 years. From their Australian homes, both have pursued an impressive career path that has led them to the highest echelons of the industry. Rowan's debut alongside fellow countryman, Jaytech, saw the duo in the record boxes of every discerning DJ in the mid 2000s with a string of hits for the likes of Hope, Only Records and Curvve. A double century of credits in the intervening years has seen Rowan become a regular on Proton Music and Particles with releases including 2012 "Basics" album and 2019's "Fools Only" EP. Similarly, Lowe has seen notable work for Low Pressings, while joining forces with Rowan on Baroque, Outta Limits and September 2019's "Actual" for Late Night Music. A debut Particles offering finds a typically strong groove-oriented affair shimmer with percussive intent as deeply textured pads and sumptuous keys shine brightly in uplifting melodic sequences. Building hypnotically to a breakdown crescendo, a heavy bassline adds weight and dancefloor credentials in perfect juxtaposition.

The pairing of Blood Groove and Kikis have been responsible for some of the finest moments of underground house music in the past decade. Highly prolific, the Latvian duo can claim over 500 production credits with over a century on the renowned Spring Tube. Moreover, an array of releases on Silk Music saw 2014's "Wonderland" album as career high point, while October 2019's "Close to You" continued their long association with the label. A May 2015 debut on Particles saw a remix of GMJ take centre stage while further reworkings of Andre Sobota, East Café and Rafa'EL have showcased talent in abundance. Returning once more, the Blood Groove and Kikis remix combines heavy beat and mesmerising percussive intent with familiar refrains from Rowan and Lowe's original, as a groove-laden arpeggio takes "Luminary" in a new direction that builds with emotive new motifs and production work. The result is another immaculately crafted affair in the Latvian duo's arsenal.

A name that has consistently remained in the minds of the musical cognoscenti, East Café has been a pioneer of the modern progressive house and breaks scene. With impeccable attention to detail and unrivalled production ability, almost 600 production credits have found their way onto the likes of Mistique Music, Balkan Connection and Sudbeat Music, supported by an A-list of Digweed, Cattaneo and Warren. A regular on Particles, 2016's "Indian Summer" and 2017's "False Visions" were impressive originals while remixes of Matan Caspi, Derek Howell and Matter are now further enhanced with a dynamic and driving reinterpretation of "Luminary". Bristling with rhythmic intent as pulsating pads and keys from the original make their mark, a new motif ripples across proceedings highlighting East Café's musical craftsmanship. Full of dancefloor power and layers of additional production work, the Hungarian is still very much at the peak of his powers.

"Atmospheria is our series of ambient and melodic originals reworked into deep and progressive house tracks. Following last year's successful Volume One, we present Volume Two, coming June 19th.

The first of two originals come from Tydrous. The Ohio native participated in Volume One with ‘Winter Fields,' with a progressive rework from Deeparture. This time he presents ‘Into Thin Air," exploring intricate vocal and pad samples layered over delicate piano notes. On remix duty is up and coming Turkish producer Erdi Irmak. A Proton Music favourite with their unique and highly emotive music, LADS return with another gold standard EP as "Stoyote" takes centre stage.

A German and South African collaborative partnership has seen LADS constantly at the vanguard of modern underground dance music. Featuring the combined talents of Luc Angenehm and Gary Pilz, their work has seen the duo light up clubs in Berlin, Johannesburg and Pretoria with their unique live shows that have transformed their studio productions for club-goers across Europe and Africa. Moreover, production work has seen the duo hit the headlines for a host of blue-chip labels that include Rebellion der Traumer, Nie Wieder Schlafen, Mango Alley and Guy J's Lost & Found, remixing Eli Nissan's "Arpu" in late 2019.

A Particles debut in September 2017 saw LADS working their remix magic on Andre Sobota's "Concluded", before graduating to Proton Music the same month with a stunning original three-track debut in "Miss Jean". The duo's techno flair and soulful mastery saw the twin track "Hagel" released in May 2018 as a quartet of remix from both EPs saw the combined talents of James Monro, Imran Khan and Huminal reworking the original material. No stranger to remixes themselves, LADS have reimagined Lanvary, Imran Khan and James Warren's "Opiate".

Returning for a third original EP on the label, the title track is a jewel-encrusted affair that glistens with a free-flowing and emotive central piano sequence. Intelligent use of counterpoint phrases sees stratified layers of sound permeate across the near 8-minute offering as an LFO synth waxes and wanes in the second half against grooved synths and syncopated bassline. Encased within a deep kick and head-shaking hi-hat cadence, the result is a classy piece.

Joining forces with German artist, Traumhouse, himself a regular on Magician On Duty, Sag & Tre and One Of A Kind, "Avem" extends the rich melodious layers with flowing vibrato string passages and reverb-drenched piano phrases tied together in musical virtuosity. Housed within a rolling groove and laid-back percussion top-line, bassline depth anchors the various elements in an immaculate 4/4 structure.

Concluding the EP, "Angatara" offers sparkling synth lines that hypnotise with their arpeggiated structure and endless delays. Working through complex phrases, a heavy bassline stab ping-pongs across proceedings before a muted pluck stakes over the phrasing pattern. A female vocal cut makes an intermittent entrance throughout adding depth and intrigue, while heavy beat and stripped back shell provides the perfect rhythmic accompaniment.

Here we have one huge collaboration! On one side we have Romanian artist Bross, which, as you know, snapped out a release for, probably at the moment, one of the strongest labels on the world, All Day I Dream, and on the other, experienced deep and progressive house producer, also head manager of The Purr, Marijan Raskovic aka Jelly For The Babies. The symbiosis of ideas of these two performers has led to the fact that we can enjoy listening to a song called "Alhena". Just one important point, which led to this song being made: "Gamma Geminorum, formally named Alhena is the third-brightest object in the constellation of Gemini." It was Alhena who was the inspiration for the melodies that accompany the already recognizable rhythms and moments of recent deep house music, so you can easily conclude who was in charge of what in this song. Perfect combination, no doubt! For such a good song we had to choose the remixers carefully, where on remix duty we have superstitious duo LADS, who were making their great appearance on Lost & Found, and, our crucial member of the family, OHMZ!

After successfully launching his imprint Harabe in late 2019, Anatolian Sessions is back on Art Vibes with a two-track EP: Delichones'.

‘Delichones' and ‘Theia', the two original tracks demonstrate the forward-thinking sound signature of the Istanbul-based producer and DJ. Contrasting with the genuine ethnic approach of his 'Keder' EP released on Art Vibes in 2017, both ‘Theia' and ‘Delichones' present dreamy atmospheres and soothing beats. While there are still hints of ethnic instruments and percussions, the focus is resolutely put onto carefully designed synthesizer sounds. This approach leads to a very cohesive and addictive EP, perfect for the upcoming summer vibes.

‘Delichones' EP is complemented with three remixes from Rauschhaus, Pandhora, and Mel7em. German musician and producer Rauschhaus makes his first appearance on Art Vibes with his remix of ‘Delichones'. His unique sound signature has made waves throughout the electronic music scene and is definitely turning Delichones into a groovy and highly energetic version.

French duo Pandhora applied their psychedelic and ethereal vision to ‘Theia'. Through the use of guitar licks and synthetic pads, they gave a whole new color to the track. Making sure to stay true to the original, they used the main theme as the basis for a complete rich re-harmonization.

‘Keder' released in 2017 has been one of the most appreciated tracks on Art Vibes. For that reason, Mel7em gave this track a fresh rework. The pianist and producer has a very distinctive way of arranging tracks and sounds which we fell in love with. Yet again, he is pushing his progressive and club-oriented vision with a banging remix.

English composer Data Rebel has been a decorated resident on Silk Music for quite some time, with releases on our imprint dating back to 2014. Likewise, Finnish talent Jani R is a veteran label contributor, whose debut EP with us, "Collision," graced our imprint in 2013 and whose debut album ("Fragile") arrived the following year. Both artists have carved a distinctive musical niche, deliberately eluding the mainstream appeal of more simplistic and template-based styles of electronic music, as their music tends to blur the lines between chillout, downtempo, ambient, and even IDM. Although Data Rebel previously remixed Jani R's "A Thousand Flares" on our imprint, these two extraordinary artists now present their first official collaboration: the cinematic, three-track "Gateways" EP.
