Harmonious & Modulo - The Fallout (Original Mix)

An artist making a name for himself on an array of established independent labels, Dave Leck has been a shining light in the progressive house arena with his work for the likes of Emotional Content Recordings, Soundteller Records and Inception. August 2019's "Stardust" EP saw a Particles debut, swiftly followed by "Primal Connection" six months later, including remixes from Andrea Cassino and fellow countrymen, GMJ & Matter. Opening his latest offering, "Radius" is fuelled by a shaker-driven and groove-infused top line. Sumptuously syncopated chords provide instant dancefloor appeal as textured pads supply a relaxed vibe that develops into the breakdown. Picking up the pace once more in the second half, a shimmering arpeggio adds further to a blissful sonic collage. The title track sees "Elevate" continue the shaker driven percussive flair as arpeggiated synth layers and smooth pads create a wonderful sunlit opening. A glorious bassline adds emotion aplenty before a rolling breakbeat provides the perfect rhythmic anchor. Steadily evolving over the 12-minute timeframe, emotive piano motifs emerge and blend into the stripped back breakdown before combining with the other melodic layers to create a stunning and powerful track.

Kamilo Sanclemente requires little in the way of introduction. A talented producer based in Cali, southwest of the Bogotá capital, the Colombian artist has made a name for himself with music on Anjunadeep, JEE Productions and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden. Sanclemente's "Beyond the Future" series has been a notable highlight on Proton Music while 2017's "Revelations" and 2018's "Eva" made their mark on Particles with a combination of original tracks and outstanding remixes. Now returning after March 2021's remix of Izzet with Mauro Aguirre, the Kamilo Sanclemente reworking of "Elevate" is characterised by a thumping four-to-the-floor backdrop. Creating new arpeggiated sequences with melodic themes rooted in Leck's original, familiar piano motifs make their presence heard. A stunning new bass groove adds further while the remix opens up in the second half to create a storming club-friendly banger that entwines new harmonies and melodies with ease, creating a truly special interpretation.

A rapidly growing force, Eric Lune has continued to make waves since a 2018 debut for Sound Avenue. Going on to see his music feature on such esteemed imprints as Juicebox Music, Plattenbank and Flow Music, September 2020's "North to South" with Golan Zocher was an impressive Proton Music debut, while "Airbag" followed a year later and included a remix from the iconic figure of Bedrock's Nick Muir. Now making his Particles debut, the Eric Lune remix takes "Elevate" on a rich rhythmic voyage that delights with filtered chords that generate a beautiful sonic cadence of their own. Full of emotion, a glissando lead cuts through the mix at the mid-way point and into the breakdown before the rolling rhythmic pattern picks up the pace into the third movement to create an impressive remix that retains the character of Leck's original while transforming it into a new, brightly coloured sonic tapestry.

A pair of original tracks and remixes from Kamilo Sanclemente and Eric Lune have seen Dave Leck "Elevate" to new heights.

Elevate (Eric Lune Remix)

In September 2021, Rudy provided Proton Music with a trademark display of beautiful melodies and sumptuous production values via his 3-track "Substrate". Returning to the EP a pair of new remixes feature the talents of Turkish and Indian artists.

Erdi Irmak is a renowned figure across the Proton Music and Particles catalogues, accounting for over 60 production credits between the two labels. As prolific as he is talented, the Turkish artist has seen his "Hidden Arcadia" series become a regular source of evocative and powerful original music, backed by a series of high-profile remixes.

Returning to Proton after recent excursions on When We Dip XYZ, Songspire Records and Tale & Tone, the Erdi Irmak remix of "Substrate" is an immaculately crafted affair that engages through complex percussive arrangement before a swathe of new production material takes the melodic elements of the original and transforms them into an emotive new interpretation. String passages and rhythmic synth motifs create sumptuous counterpoint phrasing, while Rudy's central piano elements ripple and meander through the 7-minute piece with ease. The result is a track that showcases Erdi's skill, talent and technique in glorious harmonic technicolour.

Through his Weird Sound Dude moniker, Abhijith Hegde is an artist who has continued to develop a powerful production persona. Able to transcend the progressive house genre with his forays into organic house and a distinctive sound, Weird Sounding Dude is a name that has grown in stature and momentum with high-profile releases for the likes of Anjunadeep, Hoomidaas and Mango Alley.

Now making his Proton Music debut, the Weird Sounding Dude remix of "Different Line" immediately tantalises with a bright rolling groove and deep kick. Building in effortless fashion, an array of pads and textures are layered beneath an intelligently cadenced synth line. Using Rudy's piano elements to devastating effect, they flow through the second half to create a beautifully weighted melodic flow that encapsulates the themes of the original while showcasing Weird Sounding Dude's production credentials.

A pair of new remixes from Erdi Irmak and Weird Sounding Dude perfectly illustrate a plethora of stratified layers in Rudy's "Substrate".

'As Proportion continues the high-calibre release schedule, an iconic figure within the progressive house fraternity makes his debut on the Dmitry Molosh led imprint as Simos Tagias excels with “Timelapse”.

An artist with a large and ever-reliable range of material, Simos Tagias has been at the vanguard of the underground dance scene for almost a decade. Able to claim some 400 production credits to his name, the Greek artist has found his music allied to a host of blue-chip labels after early work for Lynx Records in late 2012 and early 2013.

Since then, Simos’ distinctive sound has matured as it weaves a stylish and multi-faceted path on the likes of Cid Inc.’s Replug, Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat and GMJ & Matter’s Meanwhile. Indeed, March 2021’s “Euphoria / Emotion” EP for the latter shone a spotlight on a critically acclaimed release which saw Simos’ stock rise further. Remixes on Proton Music for LADS and GMJ plus a remix from Dmitry Molosh on December 2021’s “The Purge” for Juicebox Music, thus provided Simos Tagias with a year to remember.

Now debuting on Proportion, the “Timelapse” title track is a glorious progressive gem that rolls effortlessly forward with elegant bassline and heavy beat. Ticking hi-hats provide head-shaking groove as sumptuous pads and shimmering arpeggio imperceptibly filter into sonic range, while a counterpoint motif emerges into the stripped back breakdown in Vangelis sounding phrases. Hitting the heights again post breakdown, “Timelapse” returns to its immaculate bass groove and syncopated percussive top line in a sparkling second half.

Continuing the smooth dancefloor character of its partner track, “Etherea” resonates with chest-thumping kick and twinkling arpeggio that sits delicately in the sonic background. A mesmerising rhythmic backdrop anchors proceedings which then allows free-flowing melodic elements to coruscate across the mid-range with ease. Waxing and waning with ease, the various rhythmic components fall away at the mid-point to reveal a chorus of melodic joy before the heavy beat anchor holds sway once more in the third movement as the ethereal melodic elements weave their magical path to a delicate zenith.

Excelling with a pair of sparkling dancefloor gems, Simos Tagias has turned the clock back with “Timelapse”.'

Desert Dwellers is the convergence of music producers Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, but before they formed this project they called themselves Amani vs Teapot and were making uptempo house and techno music starting way back in 1999! One of their biggest tracks was "Wise Man Speaks" which was released on a Chris Fortier compilation for Bedrock Records.

When Australian Progressive House mastermind GMJ learned that Desert Dwellers was once Amani vs Teapot he instantly remembered loving their Wise Man Speaks track and was super inspired to remix it! He certainly delivered an absolute gem of a remix bringing new life to this classic!

Getting in on the remix as well is Dreaming Awake label boss and Desert Dweller himself Treavor Moontribe who also brings forth a rocking Progressive House with a sweet rolling bass line and additional melodies to compliment elements from the original mix.

Just for fun we have also added the original 2002 version so people can hear where these new mixes come from!

We are glad to introduce you to Melokolektiv's new project entitled "L'Amorosso". Our founder teams up with Ben Agd and presents "Gouia", a first single that will be released later in 2022. Following their summer residency for Watsa festival in Marseille where they have notably welcomed Laolu, Nandu, Marcus Worgull and Jimi Jules, the french duo release "Gouia" a deep afro track in the line of Melokolektiv's previous release on AZZUR "Bakari".

No doubt "Gouia" will stand high in the Afro House charts this year.

For the last two years, we have been watching Notre Dame growing with his excellent music deeply inspired by the afro house scene. We have been waiting patiently to propose him something to remix that would fit perfectly.

On the 18th of March, we will welcome him on board with a wonderful remix of L'Amorosso - Gouia. No doubt that this track will highlight some of your sunset sessions. Magic
