The remix on this release comes courtesy of Depth Institute. This newly formed production outfit from Gab Oliver, Darius Bassiray, and Stuart McKeown focuses solely on the pure 'Zero Tolerance Sound'. Through meticulous care and attention to detail, Depth Institute harnesses old skool influences creating a unique deep, dark and tribal progressive workout that accentuates nuances whilst remaining driving and devastatingly dirty.

As the summer drifts in the vibrant months of autumn, we’re thrilled to revisit Eduardo McGregor’s second EP on the imprint - Tal Vez Soñar. The Mexican maestro has showcased a distinct knack for global grooves, percussive rhythms, and rich melodies. He’s a unique talent within dance music - a multi instrumentalist, composer, and educator. McGregor’s true musicianship brings distinct quality to his productions, and we continue explorations into original organic territories with a set of sensational remixes.

Hole Box & Vite follow up a terrific EP on Tale & Tone with their remix on the project’s namesake - Tal Vez Soñar. Driven percussion and rotating rhythms provide a deep ambiance, shifting effortlessly through melodic moods. The groove is ever-present, ensuring listeners are entrenched in the foundation of dance as Tal Vez Soñar’s signature vocal performance arrives in full.

Anjunadeep’s JFR makes his debut on TOR, also taking the reins on Eduardo’s Tal Vez Soñar. He decompresses the arrangement with a blissed-out tone and sets the spotlight on elongated vocal touches. A smooth and dreamy roller from the Argentinian!

Massio & Josta take on Nothing In The Dark, harnessing psychedelic tones and swirling soundscapes, playing with the mind while providing crisp percussion to please the senses. They touch upon global influences with dips and dives into diverse crevices of organic house flavor.

Closing us out is Ilias Katelanos & Plecta, who provide an immensely vibey remix of the B-side. Rich synthetics ebb & flow over a groove-laden bassline, as a break in energy offers devious dancefloor moments. An ominously opulent production from the pair, and one sure to find the bag of global selectors for late summer shows.

Following on from the February 2022 remixes, Meanwhile now returns to Alex O'Rion's EP as "Echium Remixed, Pt. 2" continues with another trio of outstanding interpretations.

A legendary figure in the world of art, music and underground dance, Roger Martinez has been a central figure with his kaleidoscopic sound and spiritual influences. Music signed to Lost and Found, Replug and his own Higher States have confirmed this status while July 2020's "Cosmic" was a further notable highlight on Meanwhile. Now returning to GMJ and Matter's imprint, the Roger Martinez remix of "The Chase" is an uptempo offering that draws on his musical influences with a powerful beat and deep bass groove. Using pitched elements from Alex's original, vocal cuts shift in stereo-panned glory and epic white-noise risers and infinite delays create a dense swirling atmosphere. Pausing at the breakdown to introduce additional melodic elements, the track then drops back into its hypnotic groove as new melodic motifs create the aptly titled "Interdimensional Remix".

GMJ and Matter return to their flagship imprint with typical flair and aplomb. Able to point to a rich catalogue of original and remix work in both solo and collaborative guises throughout Meanwhile's two-year reign at the top of the progressive house charts, the Melbourne based duo provide a powerful and dynamic rendition of the title track. GMJ and Matter have thus taken the effects fuelled "Echium" and transformed it into a dark seething progressive house monster that lurks beneath gently pulsing waves. Serene in its build, delayed synth phrases cascade over each other in endless delay while new melodies twinkle across the mid-range in trademark-soaked reverb and elegantly stratified sonic layers. Maintaining the aural themes sculpted by Alex O'Rion in the original, GMJ and Matter have successfully navigated a new and dynamic path through the beautiful "Echium".

Imran Khan has cemented a reputation as one of the progressive house fraternity's leading lights. Almost a double century of production credits has seen remix and original music land on the likes of Mango Alley, Proton Music and Clinique, since a 2016 debut for the latter. Moreover, 2021's "Push Thru / Horizonz" and "Equinox" have delighted the Meanwhile faithful. Returning for a third remix, the Imran Khan reworking of "The Serpent" is a typically deep and atmospheric affair with huge thumping beat and cavernous bass groove dominating the low end. Capturing the flowing melodic phrasing of the original, pitched synths and pulsating white-noise risers create a thick soup of sound that evolves in bubbling sonic patterns with their origins in Alex O'Rion's impressive production technique. The resulting marriage of two musical identities finds Imran Khan once again illustrating his impressive production credentials through trademark sound design.

Another musical triptych pays tribute to the sonic diversity found in Alex O'Rion's music as Roger Martinez, GMJ and Matter and Imran Khan open up in full bloom through the towering "Echium".

'An artist with a steadily evolving body of work and ever-growing fanbase, Sebastian Sellares continues to chart a path to the upper echelons of the underground dance scene. Now making his Proportion debut, he delivers the twin-track “Renaissance” EP.

From his home in the foothills of the Sierras Chicas, Sebastian Sellares has witnessed an unstoppable rise to prominence. An accomplished guitarist from an early age with a particular focus on rock and metal, Sebastian was ultimately drawn to electronic music with a penchant for luscious melodies and deep rhythmic grooves. A regular across the clubs of his Córdoba home, a production career in tandem quickly shone a light on a complementary set of skills.

A plethora of high-class releases quickly followed with a century of tracks finding their way onto such esteemed imprints as Anjunadeep, Proton Music, GMJ & Matter’s Meanwhile and Cid Inc.’s Replug, the latter in collaboration with fellow countryman, Ezequiel Arias. Thus, through a growing portfolio of original and remix production work, Sebastian has become a sought after and in-demand artist.

Now making a first appearance on Proportion, Sebastian Sellares delivers a twin-track EP of the highest calibre. Redolent in rich melodic tapestry and dynamic rhythms that have become a staple of his work, “Renaissance” is a glorious offering that lilts effortlessly via rolling groove and ticking hi-hats. A rumbling bassline sequence creates syncopated synergy as expertly placed and stereo-panned effects add to the dense atmosphere. Elegant melodies emerge into the second movement and breakdown as they tumble and cascade over each other in beautiful aural patterns. Hitting its stride once more in the second half, emotive string phrases and delicately pulsating synths add even greater depth in a track that finds the Argentinean at the height of his production powers.

Partner track, “The Blitz” immediately excites with its subtle bouncing bassline energy and ticking percussive groove. Immaculately placed synth phrasing provides dancefloor dynamism as a sweeping analogue synth line imprints itself on the listener’s consciousness. Rising and falling with club-friendly ease, a cadenced synth line builds in energy, mirroring the bassline beneath before twinkling keys provide a moment of exquisite beauty. As the track drops back into its stride once more in the latter stages, bass prowess and melodic majesty combine in mesmerising fashion.
