Iboga Records is proud to present the second edition of the Deviations compilation by Geist. Geist has a wide range of styles which he moves around in, and is always able to adapt his sound depending on the event and environment, but it can be broadly pinned down to a mix of forward-thinking tunes with the groove always firmly in focus. Deviations II has a distinctive Danish feel, with many Danish artists involved in the compilation, as well as splashes of colour from international friends. Get ready for the Overkill - literally! Jannowitz Records has prepared the ultimate EP, compiled of five main time dance floor fillers by no one less than JAW label boss BOHO himself. For this particular release - which by the way is going to be the last of the imprint's most successful year in history - BOHO asked new and old friends, artists that see looks up to, sees as inspiration, just discovered recently or has been signing on Jannowitz Records for years. To put it as simple as possible: Overkill EP is a compilation of five thoroughly selected co-productions.For the first track BOHO invited one of his favourite Berlin-based producers to the studio. Kaiser Souzai doesn't need any introduction. As founder of Ballroom records he has been shaping Germany's electronic music scene for quite some time, providing clubs everywhere with one Beatport chart success after the other. On Jannowitz Records he made his debut as remixer for BOHO's first EP last year, right before releasing his own Road to Asia EP. This year we saw him remixing Maksim Dark's Industrial Strength which was an absolute banger as well. Now Kaiser is back! BOHO x Kaiser Souzai - Texel is a true techno bomb that lives off the certain drive Kaiser Souzai is known for and BOHO's proper signature kick. With Brazilian superstar duo TouchTalk and Light Breath there are two more artists that have been working closely with Jannowitz Records. The former had already contributed Drifter EP this year, the latter firstly appeared on the label back in 2016 with a stellar remix for Cliff De Zoete. Both their tracks with BOHO highlight the sexy side of electronic music in very different but in a way similar approaches. BOHO x TouchTalk - Wet Pants will make you wet your pants with its peak time potential and big room flair. BOHO x Light Breath on the other hand is way deeper and darker for those of you who enjoy the typical Jannowitz sound. To make the Overkill complete, BOHO collaborated with two new faces for this outstanding release. You might know SlikNik from his live project GRAU or his collaborations with the likes of Crystal Castles or Motoboy. Erotica was created in summer studio session when SlikNik and BOHO officially met for the first time and immediately clicked. Working on this track felt natural to both artists and suddenly, after hours of deep focus and creative exchange the track was born and got already tested on that same night in Berlin's infamous Sisyphos club. And finally, for Nicer Dicer BOHO teamed up with Rachel Raw who not only is BOHO's life companion but also the label head of Jannowitz' sister label JAW Dropping Records. Both bosses fused their musical energy and produced what now is one of the grooviest and wildest tracks of the year. Sexy, deep, dark, danceable and overwhelming - the Overkill EP has it all.Feel the Overkill !

Hitting another high point on his Proton Music journey, Soulwerk's "Unknown Dimension" saw a wonderful two-track EP hit the charts in December 2019. Now a pair of remixes come from Latvian and Indian stars.

An artist with a rich musical heritage, Ivars Tiliks has created an impressive set of credentials through his Subconscious Tales pseudonym. From his Latvian home in Valmeira, to the north-east of the Riga capital, immaculate production techniques with "carefully tuned and visualised sounds" have become a pathway "into an unlimited world of musical fantasy". Almost 200 production credits thus tell their own story of Subconscious Tales' success with a collection of original and remix production material finding itself onto such esteemed imprints as Suffused Music, Balkan Connection and JOOF.

The "Twisted" EP for Particles in June 2017 was an impressive offering, while "July 2019's twin-track "Magnectares" saw a super Proton Music debut. Subsequent remixes from James Monro and Kasper Koman added a further touch of class to an already notable debut. Returning to remix Soulwerk, the Subconscious Tales interpretation of "Funchal" is full of the rhythmic dynamism that has become a trademark of his work. Further enhanced by a driving grooved bassline that propels the track forward, familiar melodic refrains ripple across the mid-range, further extended by new motif and arpeggio that are rooted in Soulwerk's original. Hitting its stride in the third movement with a precise combination of rhythm and melody, the result is a strong advert for Subconscious Tales' talent.

An artist operating out of the New Delhi capital, Vridian is keen to explore a wide range of musical genres that span electronica, deep house and melodic techno. Able to appreciate the necessary fundamentals to move audiences from in front of and behind the DJ decks, a well-travelled Vridian became resident at the "Gorg-O-Mish" club during a stay in British Colombia's coastal city of Vancouver. 2017 saw a production debut with the "Perplexed" EP on Mystery Train Recordings while more recent work has seen the Indian producer feature on Traum, Nie Wieder Schlafen and Mark Slee & Atish's Manjumasi imprint with "Silverfish" in September 2019. November also saw a further notable highlight in Qilla Records' "Knowbot".

Now debuting on Proton Music, the Vridian rework of "Funchal" retains the melodic hallmark of the original, extending beyond with a raft of new and sparkling motifs that ripple across the stereo spectrum with ease. Building effortlessly with a combination of metronomic rhythmic programming and intelligently placed fx washes, a subline new melodic sequence supplies a stunning new layer to Soulwerk's track and showcases Vridian's skill in abundance.

Remixes from Subconscious Tales and Vridian see Soulwerk extend his stay in "Funchal".

When a highly talented Serbian workaholic joins forces with a French music ambassador for Thailand and a true Berlin original we certainly become curious. The outcome of this highly electrified and multicultural collaboration between DJ Lion, Just Julien and Britta Arnold can now be lionized (pun intended) on Harthouse.

The title track Beeast is like a ride on a locomotive through a pitch-black night with its rolling bassline, a spooky synth hook and all kinds of musical twists and turns. Thanks to its repetitiveness and unique storytelling this track will make its listeners lose their sense of time and place.

The ride is continued on the B-side with DJ Lion and Just Julien's track Parasite, which heats up the boiler and steps it up a notch. Once again a supercharged banger that is made for the night.

Last but not least the two gentlemen are loosing it completely and deliver a drop-dead stunner of a track. Unsustainable is a stomping peak time bomb that will take absolutely no prisoners. Wow!

Classically trained from the age of 9 and picked up his first electronic music record at the age of 13, BMT or better known as Buddha's Mind Trick started off by messing around with the decks at various underground parties throughout Kuala Lumpur. 

Having a plethora of musical influences all throughout his journey helped him shape what is known today among his enthusiasts as the "sound of BMT". BMT orchestrates a musical journey that breaks away from the typical genre classification, paying tribute to his biggest influence - John 00 Fleming. 

Music has no form, nor does it have boundaries as it transcends and evolves through time. While Techno, Trance and Psy go back to the same heritage and origin, the sound of BMT is a bridge that forges these three into a deep driving hypnotic sound, yet able to deliver a sting.

Prepare to dance away and treat your subconscious to the spell of Buddha's Mind Trick.
