I was today (3 Nov 2025) listening to music of friends in SC. The intriguing title of this instrumental brought some ideas to my mind, namely the odd situation of the Colorado river. Rusty was kind enough to allow me to try them. Still somewhat crude. I'll improve the mix as time permits.

*** RIVER MUSIC ***

By definition,
introverted rivers are the rivers that don't make it to the sea.
Victims of abuse and climate change,
they thirst along the way
and perish in the dry river beds.
What a strange vision…
They have no mouth. They don't complain. 
They just fade away in the arid landscapes.
But maybe someday we'll have to face
the revenge of the oceans.

River Music JFC (over Rusty Davis instrumental)

has been reported that former government health officials, including the current CDC director, have made comments indicating the six-foot social distancing guideline was an "arbitrary" or "empiric" decision and not based on specific scientific studies. 
The current acting director of the CDC is Jim O'Neill. The previous confirmed director was Susan Monarez, who was fired in August 2025- just a saying! 🙌🙌🙌🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼 1 Thessalonians 5:3! 🙌

In  A Haze

Hey….. Whatcha been up to lately? I’ve been outside working in the yard and garden. Reminded me of this old ranch hand who lived down by the river a couple decades ago. One autumn, he dug out every last quack grass root from his large garden and then died shortly thereafter, leaving a weed-free garden behind, for someone else that next Spring. I’m not too far behind him as far as digging out quack grass roots goes. In my spare time, I have been fumbling about on Ukulele. Luckily for you, this is not another Ukulele Song. Hahahaha. This song probably would have never happened if it wasn’t for a string buzz on the low E string. All music and vocals are by me and my slide guitar. This is a new realm of musical exploration for me. There are some recent slide ideas on this that I had been working up, but they never seemed to gel until now. Ah….the serendipity of a buzzing string in the life of a struggling musician. Anyway, I hope you like this new song. Thanks for dropping by, Mark
