This song started as a rough recorded by Tez on his acoustic and electric guitars. He also wrote the lyrics right off the bat, and introduced them to the rest of The Eclectic Collective by singing them as a rough, too. His vision for this was to create a song that sounded like it could've been recorded at Headly Grange (recording place of several Led Zeppelin albums). He also wanted it to feature instruments that wouldn't sound out of entirely out of place in Feudal Age Britain (between 1000-1600 C.E.) to carry the spirit of his lyrics.
  Tez always writes songs that are fun to learn and have cool changes, so we all jumped in with both feet. Ken was first up with his Bonham like big, bad beat. To that, Josh added his P-bass, which he used a plectrum on, something he rarely does, trying to sound like JPJ to match his Ken's energy. JJ came along next, adding his colourful mix of raucous organ, time period relevant Celtic flute, and outro bagpipes. He did the entire outro, in fact, including the "off with her head," line, too. 
  Once the music was all laid down, Tez tapped Mark to sing the humorous lyrics. Mark came through with flying colors on the vocal performance, as always, too. Mark also added the textural, boingy-sounding jaw harp in the chorus sections.
  Now that it was all in the can, Two of our master producers Tez and Mark mixed it, then asked the third, Stephen, to do the final mastering. It should be noted, too, that Mark also contributed significantly to the production, too, with his masterful editing skills.
  This was a really fun tune to put together, as we always have fun working on Tez's seeds. He is telling the tale of lust between two Feudal era peasants. Of course, it's rife with ribaldry, being as Tez is British. We hope you enjoy listening to this a much as we enjoyed creating it.

Starting off 2025, the new year, with a bit of uncertainty.
A life- choices theme? An Economic cautionary tale?
I prefer the political application of the Latin "Buyer Beware". The application came, in the US in November, turning back progress. In Canada, Trudeau has just announced his resignation. Buyer Beware, or to use Joni Mitchell's words, "You don't know what you've got til it's gone, they paved paradise (progress) and put up a parking lot (or oil pipelines, or coal mines, or trying to threaten neighbours and make enemies of friends). But the people knew what they were doing when they created this mess...or were they victims of social media, filters, throttles, algorithms, and moneyed influence peddling?

A dark musical synth-based veneer, casts a brooding affect over the listener, though, if the message is heard, embraced, and a direction changed, a hint of optimism may yet prevail.

Last Call (Remix 2025)

In 2021, I set off on foot from the center of Odesa, following the coastline all the way to the village of Rybakivka. Ninety kilometers over three days—walking along wild beaches, through steppes that stretched endlessly over high cliffs, past tiny villages where time seemed to slow down. Then came the port, with its towering cranes and the distant hum of cargo ships. At night, I pitched my tent on a cliff, lying there in the dim glow of the sunset, listening. The groan of cranes turning, the metallic clang of tankers unloading, the steady, endless breath of the sea.

I kept thinking—one day, I’d do this again, but by kayak, letting the waves carry me along the same path. But life had other plans. The war changed everything, and that journey never happened.

This track is what’s left of that dream. The sound of water slapping against the hull, the calls of seagulls in the misty morning, the distant creak of harbor cranes. A memory, frozen in sound.

A journey that never was—but still exists, in its own way.
