beautiful drone composition, really great work

I really like the second half of this track which is much darker that the first one. Both parts are so different that I would even call the first one not dark ambient at all. Both of these combined create eclectic composition which is interesting and beautiful nevertheless.

This piece was inspired by taking a walk during a snowfall. You hear wind and you might also hear the quiet sound of snowflakes falling, but snow tames down most other sounds. That creates a peaceful and dreamlike feeling.

Alphaxone - Human Frequencies

A strange incident took place in the 1990s in late autumn in the taiga. Not far from the epicenter of the Tunguska meteorite impact site. A group of students went hiking to to see this legendary site. They lost their way after they decided to spend the night in one of the winter huts built by hunters of the land. Their mutilated bodies were later found near an old abandoned geological base with radiation burns. Ugasanie explores this incident together with photographer Alexsandr Yakushev in this eerily cold and unforgiving dark ambient release.

Airflows

The fourth Sphäre Sechs album was recorded during improvised studio sessions. Using a selected set of analog instruments Christian Stritzel and Martin Stürtzer have put together a mystic, slowly evolving ambient sound. A warm cocoon in cold space longing for the enigmas of the solar system and beyond. 

Transient Lunar Phenomena are changes in appearance on the lunar surface of unknown origin. Light signals and color changes have been observed since the 6th century. The lunar events were officially cataloged in NASA technical report TR R-277 in 1968.

Delve deep into the visions of opera vocalist Agrathas spiritual nightmares, where suffering and madness gets comforted by the calm hand of the dark expanding universe. Halgrath is easiest described as Dark Ritual Ambient. With her hypnotic incantations reverberating through heavy textures the atmosphere is oozing with quality of production. 
Out of Time weaves a tale of souls lost in limbo, grasping to get back to reality, when their only outcome is to be discarded and shattered into pieces in the deep pits of non existance. 


Halgrath - 05 Horoathea Mass of Aegorath

Sleepdivision’s mantra is simple: performative expression and out-of-the-box workflows allow a more honest approach to ambient. The duo’s first split release breath/distance showcases the direction Sleepdivision will carve out going forward, emphasizing dusty, expressive patches in ‘breath’ and, a counterpoint of drone-heavy generative elements in ‘distance.’

protoU, Sasha is a trained violinist and choir vocalist who grew up with an addiction to music. Her first ventures into her own productions were a strong mix of distorted electronics, a far cry from her classical background. With the studio foundations in place she started producing a multitude of related genres like drum n bass, ambient and electronic music. Inspired by the dark ambient people in her life she surrounded herself with she slowly drifted into the scene and started turning her productions towards the depths. She has described dark ambient as something that gives her a freedom of thought in relation to the complexity of the world of wonders, a mix between the simple and the difficult.
