There are lots of wicked events coming up at The Volks in the next few months..just to name a few biggies that I'll be rinsing hard to by the RC1 Soundsystem bassbins, we have:

2. Tell us about gigs and guest mixes you have coming up.

I am having a couple of months off of playing out in the clubs, however, I will be recording some mixes. I have some record shopping retail therapy dates planned in London in the next couple weeks, so I'm looking forward to dropping in on Lewis & Chris at Planet Wax and a floating around a couple other record shops to top up the collection!  


3. Ghosts, do you believe in them, why or why not?

I am quite a spiritual person, so I like to think that ghosts exist, I hope they do..otherwise wtf was that 'shadow man' I saw standing at the top of the stairs for months when I was 8?!! hahaha.

One night in March 2022 when my partner Rob from Archmage Band (@archmageband @archmageband2 & @archmageband3) was coding he experienced an auditory glitch every time he typed with an interesting series of beeps. I noticed it, catching the moment with my microphone. The glitch had inspired me to make this melodic techno song which is usually more his style, and I also dedicate this one to him. (@rob-ulysses)

We decided to try our hand at remixing something for noxpox's open collaboration here: https://soundcloud.com/noxpox20/noxpox-padang in honour of noxpox's 20th page. (noxpox is already onto page 21 though! @noxpox21)

The original sounded surreal and haunting, so we went along the same lines.

I Know 25-10-09

I’ve been making music a very long time, though I took a few years off to tour the world as a FOH engineer for some super cool bands you have probably heard of. 

I make mostly reggae, dub and electronica, plus some indie rock here and there. My true passion is reggae and dub though, been that way since I was a kid. But my first ‘instrument’ was a drum machine, then a step sequencer, after that a guitar, then a 4 track recorder. Electronic music creations are part of my musical DNA.

This page covers: 
1. older music made by reggae/dub bands I lead and played in (and co-produced) when I was younger
2. a couple of indie records I engineered and produced over the years
3. NEW remixes and electronic projects I’m working on now
4. A few selected live mixes of bands I’ve worked with recently.

Starting 2020, Covid-19 and all that happened around it pulled me off the road and back into the studio, so for the time being this page is a live capture of what I’ve been up to as recently as last year, last month, last week, and even yesterday... 35 years of experience feels like the right time to close my eyes and simply CREATE, so that’s what I’m doing. Hopefully people like it as much as I’m enjoying making it. Thanks for listening.
