UK DJ/producer Wheats returns to Jamie Jones’ Hottrax this July with ‘Another Level EP’. 

Following two outstanding EP’s on Hottrax with ‘Another Planet’ and ‘In Your Head’, as well as previous releases on Kaluki, Circus, and Solid Grooves, Wheats delivers another high-quality package for Jamie Jones’ imprint with four tripped-out minimal house tracks on ‘Another Level EP’. 

‘Iz It Done’ starts the release with a flurry of machine-like clicks, pops, and whirs twisting around mangled vocals as a deep low-end pulses throughout. Following this, ‘Chrome Visuals’ sees detailed FX swirl around pounding kicks before a spaced-out breakdown intervenes, bringing a dose of late-night freakiness to proceedings. 

‘N Down’ picks up where ‘Chrome Visuals’ left off, heading straight for the dancefloor as various bass hits and effected samples converge under creeping pads before ‘Control’ closes out the release with textured synth work, swung percussion, and a vocal-laden breakdown.

Birmingham duo RUZE have hurtled out of the starting blocks with a slew of quality productions and infectious grooves for labels such as PIV, Elrow, Abode, Etiquette and Rawsome, and their second release of 2022 lands on Ben Rau’s irrepressible META imprint.

With the release of the stunning four-tracker called 'Sound System', TBX welcomes a UK-based artist Ollie Bentley to the label. The EP is made up of three original cuts plus a remix delivered by Dexter Kane. A ragged house beat underpins the title tune, which also features superb atmospheric pads, a rolling bassline, and 'deeper' synths vibrations. Next up comes 'Emergency Broadcast', presenting incredible vintage organ tones together with swinging drumming and excellent low end. Dexter Kane reworks the original song in a far more minimalistic manner, adding alien sound effects, a straightforward dance beat, and well-placed chopped vocals. Last but certainly not least is 'Check The Progression', which provides deep house vibes coupled with incredible vocals and a powerful bassline that together creates an overall ecstatic sensation.

Argentinian Jay De Lys becomes the third artist to release on Jamie Jones’ newly-minted Paradise Music  imprint, unveiling two new tracks across his new EP ‘Tired Of Loving’. 

Based in the Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires, Jay De Lys is a name that has been appearing more frequently  across the globe following a breakout series of releases on the likes of Nic Fanciulli’s Saved, Lee Foss’ Repopulate  Mars, Stefano Noferini’s Deeperfect and Chus & Ceballos’ Stereo Productions. With heavy support from artists  such as Marco Carola, Loco Dice and Joseph Capriati, alongside appearances across Europe, North America and  beyond, early May sees De Lys turn in a landmark release within his young and promising career as he joins Jamie  Jones’ newly-launched Paradise Music for the release of ‘Tired Of Loving’. 

“I was in Barcelona for my European tour with just my headphones when I started working on this EP. I felt  that the simplicity of my studio setup gave me another perspective and workflow, making me go for more  raw and organic stuff combined with my usual Latin, percussion-focused style. I’m so happy with the  result. For me, these ‘Tired of Loving’ & ‘One Bad Bix’ tracks meant showcasing my disco/housey  influences with a modern touch.” - Jay De Lys.  

Opening the EP, title cut ‘Tired Of Loving’ is a rolling and vibrant production merging crisp rolling drums with a  funky core bassline and soulful vocals to showcase a track built for the Paradise terrace. On the flip, ‘One Bad Bix’  again dives into a carefully woven web of intricate percussion grooves, before the silky smooth melodies emerge  from deep within the mix alongside more hooky vocal samples to shape things up nicely.

Since the end of 2011, Proudly People is the duo founded by Gabriele di Natale and Antonio Cosentino. That faraway October 15th, they were brought together by the common will to forge a musical identity that proudly gave to alternative music their personal taste. 
Since then, Proudly People project aims to uniqueness through personal style, basing its research on creating sounds to be fused in tracks plenty of groove and resolute rhythmic patterns, and by performing for hot dancefloors.

The dancefloor is natural environment to Proudly People. From the best Milanese and Italian stages, by performing in successful clubs and after hours, to artistic residency obtained since 2014 at Sankeys Ibiza with Magna Carta, the duo express itself through steady intensity DJ sets. By creating breath-taking soundscapes, balanced between delicate harmonies, dense rhythmical loops and fat basses, the peculiar sound is bringing Proudly People in several different contexts, from Europe to USA, and all around the globe. 

The reason that still brings together Gabriele e Antonio is the same vision of the beginnings: to grow up, to stand out and have fun through the sound, proudly.
