What’s the intention behind your set?
"I truly believe in the gradual progression and intensity of the DJ Set.
The permanent focus on coherent melodies without losing sight of the rhythm, the contribution of the percussions and some emotional vibes.
In this way I always seek to deliver dynamism and balance to reach atmospheric peaks that allow the listener to enjoy and be part of the experience."

How would you describe your approach to Social Media as an artist?
"Social networks are an essential part of the current development of artistic careers, however, as in music, I believe in the gradual nature of development and sustaining progress over time. Maintaining an "underground" aspect in these times seems extremely attractive to me because my focus is on attracting new listeners who naturally like my style, but I also seek and privilege listeners with some degree of acquired musical knowledge. In this way, networks allow me to show to a certain extent what I am looking for and who I want to reach. Quality over Quantity."

Favorite release at the moment & of all times?
"At the moment:
Konstantin Sibold - Shake This World (Original Mix)
I don´t have a favorite release of all times because there are many amazing tracks but this one has a sentimental value to me and I think is a magical masterpiece.
Forniva - Chanson D'amour (Last95 Lea's Dream Remix)"

Spotlight 014 | Sè Phillip

KOLA - DJ and producer who has been present on the Polish music scene for over 10 years. He's been involved in publishing with two labels: Deepersense Music and Bullfinch Records. He plays solo, as well as half of the duo K2, which he creates together with his friend Kowa. He is also the co-founder of the thriving Say Yes collective, which spins the national club scene with its parties, organising events in Wrocław (Transformator), Kraków (Święta Krowa) and Łódź (Soda Underground Stage) - although the list remains open. 
Despite coming from Wrocław, he mainly works for the Krakow's audience.

A fan of long brakedowns ending with a deep beat. He says of his playing style: "what matters above all is the consistent building of tension and the creation of dancefloor energy". His sets are filled with energetic and uncompromising tracks from the borderline of progressive house, melodic techno and indie dance.

After seeing the enthusiasm that DJS had in playing, in infecting the crowd, that was my click to learn, to study and start my career.
But what really catches my attention is Progressive House and Techno, which has now become my style to perform.
Today I have a set project called Under Mount, with my studies and productions within Progressive, mainly Progressive House.

Daniel Figueiredo, nascido em Toronto, é a mente por trás de Yøhkan. Um projeto criado para expressar sua paixão pela música. Daniel Figueiredo, born in Toronto, is the mind behind Yøhkan. A project created to express his passion for music. Since young, music has had an important part in his life, but it wasn't,t until his early 20's that he discovered the joy of expressing his musical taste through dj'ing. Mixing just between friends turned into a full time dedication, and consequently led him to playing in venues across several countries. Not long after, music production came into play, where since then he has released tracks of his own making,  joining Colombian's Kulto Label with his EP "Origem" and  his recent participation on the "Secret Garden" V.A released by one of Barcelona's most respected melodic techno imprint, Wood. Always searching for that melodic touch, his music is meant to tell a story. Be it a track or dj set, through piercing leads, interesting percussions and intriguing pads, you can expect to be taken on a deep and memorable journey every beat of the way.
