Two helpings of powerful and chunky progressive trance here from Canadian producer Gradwell. The 125bpm World To Come is first off the blocks; dark and moody chords set the tone, tube saturated real-world synth elements weave around the minor key; this is proper, heads-down four-to-the-floor business. On the flip we have the 128bpm Club Mix of Awakening that featured on Kristina Sky’s Disc 1 of Pure Trance Vol. 7 recently. Rich ride symbols and timbales are worked into a 303 bass groove, acidic synth lines interlace and we get a grand melodic unveiling at the break. All together, serious progressive trance for connoisseurs.
