DJ MARIA. - The Light [Proxima]

@zagczagczagc is a DJ, producer, and installation artist based in Ann Arbor Michigan, just outside Detroit. His music emphasizes texture and fluidity, weaving a dense tapestry of sound pierced by punchy percussion. Believing in the ability of dance music to color visions of an alternate world, it is made as much for forests and caves as it is for a traditional club floor. It dreams of space free from flat surfaces and right angles, something new, and strives to inspire the listener to feel and pursue that dream.

✩ ᴩᴏᴩᴍɪx - ᴍy ʟɪᴛᴛʟᴇ ꜰʟᴏᴡᴇʀ ✩

Copenhagen dj and producer @popmix94, has been around in the Copenhagen underground scene for a long time. He is running Axces Recordings alongside friends (Kasper Marott & Alfredo92 etc.) since 2019. 

He has released a certain number of tracks and records on his own imprint, but he has also been putting out music on the Norwegian label UTE under the moniker Wilberforce. He is also functioning as a mix engineer.

To in frame Popmix as an artist and a sound, he is exploring undergrounds genres in a characteristic manner. Being mostly influenced and inspired by a broad range of genres and subgenres within the realms of techno, trance, house, IDM and more experimental music. He is using strong caricatures and often melodies to express his typically naïve interpretation of club/dance music. Mostly building his tracks in a conventional compositional way, there is a multifunctionality inscribed in the music, since it is indented to flourish not only in a club context, but also in more conventional settings.
