Background: This track describes the parasocial relationship that often forms between an audience and the star. Historically, this type of relationship could be seen with movie stars and musicians. This track is a modern take on the social media aspects of that same phenomenon where the exchange of emoticons and emoji's are like a form of wordless, pantomime theatre.
