This is a Proximity Matters original. I wrote these lyrics after many failed attempts to write a song that described how I personally went from "then" to "now". It's amazing how life changes in such a short time, how WE change in such a short time. 

Ten Years Ago

Johnny Cash is a musical icon, and this is our imperfect tribute to him and the incredible music he created. We put our own PM spin on it, of course, and had more than a lot of fun with it.

"Live" From Folsom Prison

This song is a lyrical variation of the currently popular "Without You" by Keith Urban. This song was re-written for our nephew Seth who, though only spending eight short days here on earth, touched us all more deeply than we could have ever imagined. We were blessed and honored to be able to perform this for his memorial service, and have since recorded this expanded version to include both rhythm and lead guitar, bass and mandolin. This song is deeply emotional for us and we only hope it serves to honor Seth's memory for all who hear it. 

Without You (Seth's Song)

This is the first song that I wrote for Ben and I, long before Proximity Matters had been conceived. This was originally going to be paired with acoustic guitar, but after working on the song "You and I" by Ingrid Michaelson we decided that the ukulele was the instrument of choice. This song has a very light, beachy feeling and we hope you enjoy it!

Written for a dear friend who is more family than friend. This is a song of reckoning. A song of empowerment. The title says it all. No. More.
