Projector - Negative Space

For 24 years I was a spear
A harpoon in a whale as it’s end drew near
I don’t recall blinking or even a tear
Just some kind of nourishment 

I believed the water had to be rough 
For the squid below and the humans above
With a stomach full of flesh and a head full of lust
I trawled around sound proof
 
But soon my line snapped and my spool came undone
To keep casting like that you’d have to be  numb
Then I heard her voice call out right through the fog 
You don’t have to hunt anymore
You don’t have to lie anymore

Not afraid of the sea
You the spirit
Me the mixer

I got bitter

Two bags at the door ones full of the glass
