Blueroom Tapes is a celebration of the tracks that paved the way for what came next. From my first label release with Goldfat Records, to a collaboration with my friend Winslow that was part of his third EP with Hospital Records.

A collection of re-mastered self releases and a sprinkling of abandoned projects encapsulated to mark the end of an era that represents the infantile chapter of my drum and bass production journey.

It's been a crazy 9 months since I started this journey with the release of my first drum and bass track Counting Stars. The support I've received has been unreal with features from Ledge Sounds and DelightDNB. Not to mention the great people I've met thus far and the opportunity to become a resident DJ for the Raverz Assemble crew with their monthly night of D&B in Central London. 

Here's a little mix I put together this afternoon at Pirate Studios to celebrate hitting 450 followers on Soundcloud. I did say I'd do one at 200 (for those that remember), so it's a little late in that regard - apologies! 

Loaded with some of my favourite deep and soulful sounds, mostly released but a couple of dubs from myself and friends.

The Fat have been globetrotting for much of this years releases but this time we’re back home and couldn’t be happier to introduce a fellow Londoner that goes by the name of PRSPKTV.

‘Stargazing’ features RSWT from Nottingham and these 2 cook up a gorgeous, jazzy, summer jam that lyrically and musically tugs at the heart strings. When I pressed RSWT to explain what inspired his lyrics he told me it was a combination of missing nature during lockdown coupled with a recent break up. PRSPKTV's production is the perfect backdrop for some fresh story telling that’s equal parts joy and sadness. This is an artist with bags of soul and he laces this sun kissed track with melancholy trumpets, chirping birds, filtered keys and catchy vocal snippets than stay with you long after the tracks finished.

‘Lovedrops’ continues the theme of summer ambience as it opens with playground sounds and jungle breaks before opening out to evocative double bass and tinkling jazz keys. PRSPKTV summons his inner Dilla as he weaves his samples in and out of the track. Liquid jungle for the soul!

Prspktv, the musical moniker of South East London-based artist Charlie Martina, is a music producer and DJ in the drum & bass scene. Drawing inspiration from soul, funk, jazz, R&B and hip hop, Prspktv’s music is a fusion of classic and contemporary sounds characterized by rolling beats, addictive melodies and infectious grooves.

Charlie developed an interest in electronic music during his early teenage years, and began experimenting with production software. With a keen ear for melody and a talent for crafting beats that groove irresistibly, Prspktv's tracks are a perfect representation of his influences.

Over the years, Prspktv has worked with a number of well-known labels in the drum and bass scene, including Goldfat Records and Hospital Records.
