PRTTYUGLY, a San Diego-based producer and DJ, has been a sonic force since 1997, ignited by the raw energy of the Midwest rave scene, Chicago hard house, and Detroit techno. Cutting his teeth behind the decks, he honed a relentless, groove-driven style before diving into production later in life. Just a few years in the studio, he landed his debut release on the iconic KMS Records, cementing his place in techno’s legacy. Now, fueled by a renewed love for late ‘90s and early 2000s techno, PRTTYUGLY pushes the sound forward with gritty, hypnotic tracks and electrifying DJ sets. Alongside his Primal Sounds Collective crew, he champions underground culture through artist-focused events and immersive nights, keeping the rave spirit alive.
