Laid down with authority by L/F/D/M are four no nonsense cuts blasting fresh air into that perennially en vogue phenomenon known as acid house. After stunning EPs for Glasgow’s prestigious Optimo Trax and Clan Destine Traxx, an equally crushing full-length for Kompakt's Ecstatic imprint, and two brain melting EPs for Diagonal with Factory Floor's Dominic Butler as Bronze Teeth, it is an honor to have his sounds grace CGI with a release that sees him playing right for the heart of the dance floor. Opener "Spare Ribs, No Napkin" is meaty and greasy with abandon, as rude and distorted as it is irresistibly syncopated. "Cutting Fingers" contrasts with a slow burn with a deep kick anchoring shifting rhythms and unsettlingly hypnotic riffs. Flip this treasure over and get pummeled by the rolling stomp of "Heavy Clouds” with its massive 808s and just-off-the-nose acid cycles. Closing things out is the bright paranoid jack of "Hippos In Slumber" with its muted chords adding freaky color to steady and heady 707/303 workout that charms and overpowers with an electric stink that lingers long after the needle has reached the lead-out groove.

CGI010 - L/F/D/M - Psychopaths Eating Jelly EP - CLIPS

L/F/D/M is a purveyor of no-nonsense aural excursions. His latest release on CGI Records does nothing to disprove this wonderous fact. There's a straight-to-the-point attitude to the music which lets you know exactly what his intentions for your listening pleasure are in a matter of seconds.

If he were to be engaged in some kind of martial arts face-off this may be a bit of a problem - he lays his cards out on the table instantly and gives the game away to their opponents, allowing them to mount a counter attack pretty sharpish. However, this isn't martial arts, this is music - right? - and the security that these sounds offer your ears is as fulfilling as a cleansing cotton bud.

From the realms of Buenos Aires’ legendary and undocumented nightlife comes a new EP by @djs-pareja - who have been generously introducing us to their nocturnal dancefloor visions since the very beginning of Cómeme, shaping not only the label’s sound and message but also influencing heavily the modern takes on Techno in Latin America. 
Here’s their EP “Alto” literally meaning “High”, and this is where it’s supposed to take you and surely will.

BWOO: This tune is direct; this tune is made for the impact on the body mechanics. We had to think of Munich, of Cologne in the 90ies but – true to the Pareja’s credo, lacking of any nostalgia, instead looking forward with bouncing acidic euphoria that knows no yesterday and no tomorrow.

G-23 has released tracks on labels such as Mincut, Super Rhythm Trax or Return to Disorded under his alias “Moscow Death Disco”. This multi talented and multi facetted Italian producer also operates twisted rave sound under the name “Secret Rave” or more experimental as "Strange Audio Dreams", on his very own label art-aud. With an upcoming E.P on 10pillsmate under Dj Groov’s name and an E.P on Valcrond Video to come, we felt necessary to let our ears be charmed by G-23 for this podcast.</p>

As a video game character would discover new horizons, G-23 embarks us for a new exploration with this very well balanced podcast. Soughing voices and aerial pads welcome us, crickets and frogs in the night are walking alongside with us, the quest is beginning. The beat starts and we can distinguish our first checkpoint as an old factory is taking form in front of our eyes. The alarm is ticking and here we are driven into this warehouse where boisterous machines are functioning and robot-like workers are sweating. Repeating their gesture they create a damp atmosphere punctuated by this timid but growing acid line. Rhythms are mechanical, automated. As we advance, it feels like we are exploring new rooms, new machines, and new operated gestures, each giving birth to new sounds. Electro and acid are combining together perfectly to produce this monster we pursue through our pilgrimmage. The walk is risky, the pace accelerates, as we pursue our visit of this old manufactory, doors open on a battlefield. Aquatic acid lines are battling with snares and drums. We regain our energy thanks to the punchy kick and the well orchestrated breaks. Electro is regaining field as we pass through the last door. The final motorized workers are completing their relentless, alienating tasks. The music swifts from one ear to another and gains our body compelling it to animal-like gestures. We leave the factory and let its rhythms flow through our ears like a familiar murmur. The reassuring and comforting pads coat ourselves through the final checkpoints of this musical journey, meanwhile the muttering voices are seeking for our attention. Acid takes control one final time helped by the crushing snares and omnipresent hats. The factory’s alarm resonates once again in our ears as the jungle patterns close our expedition. 

With this podcast, G-23 demonstrates his excellent ability to marry styles, sliding from noisy electro beats to thunderous acid basslines and heavy kicks. A good balance that gives soul to the music and takes us on an unique journey.
