Byzantine Communion Verse of Christmas: Λύτωσιν απέστειλε τω λαώ αυτού εν ειρήνη (Ps 110:9a). The psalm verse was composed by Manuel Chrysaphes (fl. 1430-1470) and the Nenanismo and Kratema (meaningless syllables) was composed by Balasios the Priest (d. 1645). The edition was prepared by Dr Spyridon Antonopoulos from MS Athens-MΠΤ 705, transcribed from the old notation by Chourmouzios the Archivist of the Great Church of Christ.
