Moontribe 29-Year Anniversary

Closing September's Full Moon Gathering with morning psy vibes was such an incredible high -- I had the absolute best time playing to such a receptive and playful group of dancing lunatics! This one was a wonderfully small gathering and the dancefloor vibes were super thick all the way through.. and that sky! 😮 The nearby hurricane painted the most amazing show of clouds, stars and moonlight all night and morning, and even kissed us with a few raindrops. So beautiful! Thank you, Moontribe community. Dancing and playing with you is always such an incredible pleasure.

After 30 years I didn't think Moontribe could reach a new peak, but we absolutely did with our 30 year anniversary Full Moon Gathering! The location was unreal, the weather perfect and the people brought so much love and dance floor energy, I was simply blown away completely! 

Here is my night time Techno set played from 9pm to 11pm on night 2 inside the most beautiful stage structure by Symbiotic Creations in front of a dance floor filled with super charged energy under the big bright full moon!!!

"30 F*CKIN' YEARS!", someone shouted as this momentous occasion came to a close. 30 years of Moontribe Full Moon Gatherings -- just WOW. Such a wonderful gift to be a part of this unique community of artists, musicians, creators, dancers, lovers, family and friends, young and old. Words cannot describe what it has meant to me, and means to me to be able to participate in the "intense, but dancefloor friendly" magic that has been such a huge part of, and impact upon, my life. I am deeply grateful for each and every one of you and wish for everlasting peace and joy in yours. Thank you, Moontribe Collective. I love you.

Here is my sunrise set from day 2, a 3+ hour journey of groovy psy tunes to get your juices flowing and your brain tingling. I hope you enjoy it. Due to an issue with the original recording, I decided that I wanted to share this with you anyway, so I re-recorded it, and threw in a couple bonus tracks that I had wanted to play but wasn't able to the first time around. I was honored to be given the last full moon set / sunrise set of the decade for our lovely full moon community in southern California. During this set, it was dark for about an hour and light for about an hour. I hope the recording conveys the transition from dark to light as well as it did on the dancefloor. Thank you everyone for nearly a decade of full moons. This was a really retrospective set for me, and I'm just really grateful for this life we live.

One of the founding members or Simpler Times Events in San Diego, Psilovybe has been DJing and producing events since 2010.   He is known for his dark psychedelic sets, playing techno, progressive, psytrance, trance, drum and bass and breaks. While usually being spotted turning up dust in the Mojave desert, he has also been seen playing tunes as far north as Mount Shasta and east in Las Vegas. Early this year, Psilovybe was added as a resident DJ for the Desert Escape crew. With a wide range of sounds, he is prepared to bring the weirdness at any hour!
