Closing September's Full Moon Gathering with morning psy vibes was such an incredible high -- I had the absolute best time playing to such a receptive and playful group of dancing lunatics! This one was a wonderfully small gathering and the dancefloor vibes were super thick all the way through.. and that sky! 😮 The nearby hurricane painted the most amazing show of clouds, stars and moonlight all night and morning, and even kissed us with a few raindrops. So beautiful! Thank you, Moontribe community. Dancing and playing with you is always such an incredible pleasure.

As news of a devastating natural disaster spread like wildfire across media outlets and local communities, DJ Scomo leapt into action!

Without hesitation, our hero hastily boarded the first flight for The Town to soak up some vibes and wash his hands of this whole ungodly mess while the sultry summer sun and cool river stream cleansed him of both sin and responsibility.

However, this brief respite was cut short when he was informed of an open slot on the main stage on Friday night, and he couldn't pass up the opportunity to disgrace himself in front of an angry mob and maybe even shake a few hands along the way. 

This recording was obtained by an independent journalist who wished to remain anonymous...

After 30 years I didn't think Moontribe could reach a new peak, but we absolutely did with our 30 year anniversary Full Moon Gathering! The location was unreal, the weather perfect and the people brought so much love and dance floor energy, I was simply blown away completely! 

Here is my night time Techno set played from 9pm to 11pm on night 2 inside the most beautiful stage structure by Symbiotic Creations in front of a dance floor filled with super charged energy under the big bright full moon!!!

"30 F*CKIN' YEARS!", someone shouted as this momentous occasion came to a close. 30 years of Moontribe Full Moon Gatherings -- just WOW. Such a wonderful gift to be a part of this unique community of artists, musicians, creators, dancers, lovers, family and friends, young and old. Words cannot describe what it has meant to me, and means to me to be able to participate in the "intense, but dancefloor friendly" magic that has been such a huge part of, and impact upon, my life. I am deeply grateful for each and every one of you and wish for everlasting peace and joy in yours. Thank you, Moontribe Collective. I love you.

Here is my sunrise set from day 2, a 3+ hour journey of groovy psy tunes to get your juices flowing and your brain tingling. I hope you enjoy it. Due to an issue with the original recording, I decided that I wanted to share this with you anyway, so I re-recorded it, and threw in a couple bonus tracks that I had wanted to play but wasn't able to the first time around. Here's my recording from NYX Festival - This was my first time using just a Push 3 (and a Novation Launch Control XL) - I still have a lot to learn, but playing without a Laptop was such a great experience! I was going to say make sure you grab your early bird tickets for next year, but they sold out in a day.

After a lot of hard work and many hours I finally got my first vinyl mix recorded! Been having a blast learning how to work these things.  This mix focuses on some 2000-2004 hard techno and hard trance, 137-147 bpm. Ill be recording more of these in the near future in a few different styles, so keep an eye out! Thanks for listening!

One of the founding members or Simpler Times Events in San Diego, Psilovybe has been DJing and producing events since 2010.   He is known for his dark psychedelic sets, playing techno, progressive, psytrance, trance, drum and bass and breaks. While usually being spotted turning up dust in the Mojave desert, he has also been seen playing tunes as far north as Mount Shasta and east in Las Vegas. Early this year, Psilovybe was added as a resident DJ for the Desert Escape crew. With a wide range of sounds, he is prepared to bring the weirdness at any hour!
