Simplified is PSiMiTAR's first single of 2022, following on from the success of last years singles, Better Believe It and Fading, which propelled the streaming figures of the band dramatically.
Simplified breaks it down to the basics, funky riffs, Saxophone, Talkbox, Smooth vocals and distinct rhymes. Delivering a message that things always work a lot easier the less we complicate things and just keep it simple.

Blending a dark and atmospheric soundscape, with harmonious vocal choruses and glitchy broken beats. Profile symbolises the want for success with the balance of solitude.

This song was crafted around the concept of having warped memories of a bad relationship. The after thoughts of only remembering the good points and how our mind chooses to omit the reasons it didn't work, trying to draw us back into something negative. The glitchy vocals represent those moments when the thoughts try and creep in and take us somewhere we know isn't a good idea. Building to a head when everything seems to be at its calmest and those feelings seem to have gone, but only come back stronger. One of lifes true tests, to accept and move on.

PSiMiTAR is North East producer Steesh's new project as Baron Von Alias with vocalist LKP. Taking influence from 70s funk, 80s soul, and the modern melodic take on "alternative hip hop" from artists such as Mac Miller, Children of Zeus and Tyler The Creator, the pair have come up with their own unique take on the sound. Combining live instruments, laid back beats, soul and rap, PSiMiTAR's debut single 'Superficial', received BBC Radio 1 support. The duo have since gone on to receive amazing backing and support from BBC Introducing, Brasstracks, BBC Sounds and many others.
