Award-winning Australian DJ/Producer, Claire Hardman is back, with a blistering bite of unadulterated techno genius, straight from the thriving Stockholm techno scene, of which she is one of the leading lights.

Devil’s Hand EP, available on 19th April, is the debut release from Claire’s pioneering new label Hardman. It’s only fitting that Devil’s Hand should be the first of the many exciting releases already in the pipeline at Hardman, a misogyny-free take on how techno should be released and a futureproofed model of how things can be.

Straight from the get-go, Devil’s Hand announces itself to your eardrums with a bass beat so banging, that you’d be forgiven for thinking Lucifer herself is pounding her fists on your door, ready to take you somewhere dark…deep down underground. Driving machine synths add to this satanic soundscape and by the time the hi-hat kicks in, you’re already across the River Styx. A truly eerie, exorcist evoking piano line fills the room, transfixing you on your musical journey. The Optimuss Remix gives clear nod to the early sound of The Prodigy; the acclaimed Nizhny Novgorod producer adding a new dimension to Devil’s Hand whilst staying true to the relentless dark drive of the original track.

On the other side, both literally and figuratively, Spitfire kicks off with a joyously bouncing bass, soon joined by a deep synth drone reminiscent of that famous plane’s engines, and a wicked acid twitch funk line. This is a track that keeps giving, getting even better with each new element introduced. The Alan Morales Remix completes this four-track techno masterclass, Mexico’s very own hard techno maestro taking the Spitfire back out of the hanger and changing the flight settings to full-on attack.

Claire Hardman explains: “Devil’s Hand came from a pretty dark place. At the start of 2022, just as the light started to appear at the end of the pandemic tunnel, I broke MY hand, hence the title! On the other hand, Spitfire is about the determination and resilience to keep going even when you're in a bad place. I'm a very spiritual, positive person, so Spitfire is about and having hope; on       e of the key tenants to a productive and happy existence. As an EP, Devil’s Hand shows the light and the dark in life. The yin and the yang. Without the darkness, how can you appreciate the light?”

Of her collaborators on Devil’s Hand EP: “I'm a big fan of both Optimuss and my good friend, Alan Morales. Both have a great sound and are very talented, so I was over the moon when they came on board to do the remixes. I think they are fantastic interpretations of the originals.”

LA-based Techno label OMEN Recordings celebrates its 6 year anniversary with a very special edition of their RITUAL VA Series. Hand-picked by label boss, AXKAN, himself, "RITUALØ6" offers 6 incredible selections that represent the OMEN sonic aesthetic impeccably. 

Mastered by Artefacts Mastering, from Gio's gorgeous studio in Berlin, "RITUALØ6" manifests some of OMEN’s finest tracks selected over the past 3 years. The RITUAL series continues its six-tracker format with this unique anniversary release showcasing venerable artists from the various corners of the Techno world.

The compilation opens with mysterious producers I MURDERED conjuring up sinister sonics and eerie vocals in “Skin Jacket”. A beguiling flute bridges the track from a steady rhythmic pace into a frenzied, buzzing hive of industrial Techno.

Rising LA artist EAS offers his eclectic spin on dark Techno with “Walk the Earth.” A dynamic chugging bassline pummels through its entirety, intertwining with a dizzying, metallic aural to heat up any warehouse with its underlying EBM influence.

Italian legend AYARCANA left us his last produced track where he summons savage spirits with “Epitaphs” as ANSOME lends his belligerent broken beats and uncompromising dynamics to the resulting remix.

Explosive peak-time stamina runs wild in CRYSTAL GEOMETRY’s “Alborz Range.” The French producer deftly shows off an industrial-leaning modular style. Obliterating and futuristic, this track is guaranteed to rile up any dancefloor. 

Poland’s HATELOVE shows off his aggressive brand of Techno with “Riot” slinging twisted distortions and mesmerizing mania. Featuring German-based THE HORRORIST, this fervent track takes hellish soundscapes to new depths. Special thanks to RIOT Records UK for the support on releasing this track.

Closing out the compilation, OMEN head honcho AXKAN unleashes seductively ominous themes across “Lacan’s Dream.” Nefarious, tribal-influenced percussion leads the listener through otherworldly realms for a monumental conclusion.

This EP will be available in USB-stick and digital formats everywhere. This latest "RITUALØ6" is a brutal masterpiece of a VA compilation and further cements the label’s position in the underground Industrial Techno scene—as if one needed any convincing.

The artist immerses the listener in the chaos of sounds with the first track of his EP “The Forbidden”, released by Insane Industry Recordings, 'Making Music to End My Social Life'. An aggressive hard techno track. He launches into complex soundscapes with fast-paced gabber and digital hardcore influences.

The work of ^L_ (real name Luis Fernando) has been described as almost scary, but attractive. disturbing, uncomfortably pleasant, and even weird. His works have been released by labels from Berlin, London, Tokyo and more. Influenced by IDM giants such as Aphex Twin and Autechre, ^L_ also shows old school knowledge by referencing hard and acid techno, industrial music,  darkwave, and cyberpunk culture. All this range of influences expressed in a cohesive and contemporaneous way. The artist explores winding paths through the darkness of the EBM. Add dirty breakbeats, horror movie lines, electric laser beams. Industrial beat elements that tick like clockwork as life swings amidst automated daily duties and emotional experiences.
