Farhannah won AVA Festival’s Emerging DJ competition in 2020 and will be performing at AVA in September. She has always had a love for 70s and 80s music and started off DJing disco. As she’s grown as a DJ she has also developed a taste for techno and more tribal sounds. In this Funk with Farhannah session expect an infusion of disco, house and techno music.

SOLARIA 2023 Minimix - Siblicity

This song selection represents a feeling of home, maybe from a past life experience. 

I aimed to highlight the distinctive qualities of this particular House subgenre, which originally evolved alongside Trance music. This variant is known for its intricate and delicate sound, distinct from traditional House music by eschewing the sampling of Soul and Funk elements. The outcome is a mesmerizing and mystical ambiance, purposefully designed to induce a trance state—the central objective of this project.
