With a history in death-metal, punk but also jazz and funk bands. Electronic music took over around 2006. Realizing a first release on Moon Koradji Records in 2008, Whrikk has been releasing on a multitude of labels around the globe. Such as also the renowned label Sanaton Records from Sweden, Parvati Records from Denmark and Real Vision Records in Germany.   As well as some special homemade releases of his own.

WHRIKK @ The Swamp | MoDem Festival 2024

Having sailed through a variety of soundscapes like Eastern, Fusion, Rock and Ambient, Sathya aka DJ Reynold found his dance music in 2016 with Psytrance.

A few years ago he started RaveRats and has been playing at Machine Elves by Psychedelic Rave and Zenith by The Magic Dream and RaveRats, just to name a few.

In the grand mosaic of Psytrance, the heart-pounding Full-on and Foresty Dark Twilight are his compass points, the North Star to  his sonic exploration. However, his musical treasure chest is diverse, and  revels in the crossroads where beats merge and melodies entwine.

Here's where the tale takes an intriguing turn - he has not just been charting his own course but has also found his anchor with Organik Circus Records, where the groovier and darker tunes harmonize. The core of this partnership resonates with his mythical, mystical ethnic roots, enriched by a decade of European immersion.

As he threads the line between ancient mysteries and futuristic soundscapes, his quest continues. My first album. Some serious Psytrance tracks mixed with fun brainrot Hardbounce & Hitech stuff, DnB and Proggy. Will not win a Grammy for it, but happy with what kind of interesting things I was able to produce (some good stuff, some less good stuff) after starting to produce my own music in Bitwig 3 months ago. I even got a Wimpamp mastered track on this which sounds deluxe (thank you so much Jan!). Also thanks for the billions of plays in advance hehe. The further up in the track list of the album you go, the newer the tracks are. At the bottom you have the two "oldest" tracks which I produced in my first 2 1/2 weeks of producing (very obvious if you listen to that garbage xD). Very happy with the other 6 tracks though! Anyways, YOU should start producing too, if you haven´t already. If even I can make something in 3 months like this, YOU can do it 10x better, no excuses! It´s fun af!

Built around three original productions, Overcoming brings together precise percussion, heavy low-end pressure, and reflective textures. The EP stays true to Specific Objects’ sound while pushing into new, bolder territory. Each track balances emotional tension with dancefloor intent, tracing a path between resistance and release.

Rounding off the project, two heavy-weight remixes bring distinct reinterpretations: DLV injects peak-time urgency, while Rudosa's “In The Groove Mix” deepens the hypnosis with his trademark rolling pressure. Together, they reinforce the EP’s tension between control and catharsis. A fitting addition to the evolving Introspective catalog.
