So, Jelani and I have been sitting on one hell of a pile of awesome projects, for a very, very long time. It's been so long since we've released, that there was actually dust covering the external hard drive most of this stuff was stashed on, lol.

But we've had a busy couple of weeks. And we've been having some pretty telling discussions about where we're going, how we're getting there, and what needs to be done between now and then.

One of the biggest things? We need to let go of old art. It's like...shit, man, we have INVESTED ourselves in some really cool things that never got as 'finished' as we wanted them to. But that doesn't mean they're not wonderful. And I sure as shit don't feel like going back and working on them anymore; we have to keep space open for new ideas. We are always improving as artists and creators and if you don't PURGE that old art you will be holding yourself back with the new art. Right?

That being said, HEY! Here is the first track from our soft-release album The Streets of Saint Louis! We're gonna be releasing these tracks one at a time over the next few weeks, so stay tuned you beautiful people, please! We've got some really great things planned, and we want you to be involved. And, all these tracks are going to be free to download, indefinitely. They are our gifts to you.

This album was dreamed up as a soundtrack to our beautiful city of Saint Louis, MO. But not a traditional soundtrack; we decided to compose instrumental pieces based on the varied and colorful neighborhoods around here, AS IF THEY WERE LEVELS IN A SIDE-SCROLLIN' BEAT EM UP.

AWESOME, right?? We thought so too.

OVERTURE is, well, the overture track. This isn't composed around a specific area of town, but rather the overall vibe of the album, and we borrow compositionally from several of the other pieces that are going to appear (including The Morgan Ford Business District, the Delmar Loop, the Graffiti Floodwall, and so much more!).

So, hey! Tune in, and pay attention, 'cause there is a LOT MORE in the works, and it's just about ready to come out.
