GOING LEFT RIGHT and I WANT…DEPARTMENT S have been rampaging across the UK and Europe thrilling audiences with their guitar based sound from Wickerman in Scotland to Benicassim in Spain. With 4 original members, Mike Herbage, Stuart Mizon, Mark Taylor and Eddie Roxy joined by Back To Zero’s Sam Burnett giving the group a unique sound with two lead guitarists. Since 2006 three singles have been released, Wonderful Day, God Squad Saviour and My Coo Ca Choo with guest musicians such as Glenn Matlock, Marco Perroni, Mark Bedford and John Keeble. A new LP released last year “MR NUTLEY’S STRANGE DELUSSIONARIUM” was greeting by warm reviews and represents the more rock sound the band believe would have immerged had VIC producers(Buffin and Overend from Mott The Hoople) been allowed to produce the debut LP…….sadly the label wanted a more commercial sound and then went bust after the record was finished but before it was released thus the first Department S album was released 10 years after it was made!!!  2013 will see a new LP “The Constructavist’s Nightmare” and the band back on the road playing clubs and festivals.

 BEST IF HEARD THROUGH HEADPHONES!Psychedelic Haze is Jim Bailey, guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, drum programmer, and percussionist. Working with a TASCAM four track as a microphone amp, Jim records his tracks using Audacity as his studio. Lo-fi to the core, Jim subscribes to the 'first thought, best thought" theory of recording. Yes, you'll hear bum notes, timing problems with the rhythm track, and sometimes half-baked ideas.

Jim recorded four albums in 1986-1988 (unfortunately, all of the master tapes have been lost) with the acoustic-punk duo The Masochism Machine. After an 18-year layoff from recording, Jim started working on the tracks for his debut album, "The Paisley Sky", in 2006. The first edition of "The Paisley Sky" was done strictly on the TASCAM four-track, and the results were less than listenable. Since 2008, Jim has slowly been re-recording the tracks from the now out of print first edition of "The Paisley Sky". 20 songs from his recordings over the past three years are available here (along with a cover of the Chris Bell classic 'I Am The Cosmos').
"And I Just Go Green" was Track Of The Day on the late great garageband.com in September 2006, and reached number 65 on its overall chart. Psychedelic Haze songs have been played on 'net radio shows by Psychedelic Velveeta and Your Psychedelic Tunes, and allegedly have been played on a couple of radio stations in France several times.
