This set marked a full-circle moment, childhood friends united behind the decks for their first ever B2B set on New Year's Day. The chemistry was palpable from the fun they were having in the booth, which radiated onto the Colorfloor and had everybody locked in, warping the energy into that special night.

Ten years of On Board Music—it speaks for itself. We’ve been collaborating with them almost since the beginning, watching them grow steadily while staying true to their values—thoughtful curation, long-term relationships, and a real commitment to the artists they work with. Reaching a decade in this industry without compromising is something worth celebrating.

For their anniversary compilation, they brought together a group of artists who reflect that spirit. Among them is Jin Synth, whose track Self Navigation adds a spacious, introspective layer to the release. We first met Jin at Mostra Festival a few years ago and have been following her work since—whether through her releases, her live performances, or the way she approaches sound as something deeply hands-on. She also contributed a guest mix to our series, offering another glimpse into her precise, layered style.

In this conversation with Theresa Bäumel, Jin shares more about her background in sound art, her process of building custom instruments, and how she stays grounded in a constantly shifting scene.

With Mostra Festival just over a week away, we’re wrapping up our editorial run with a conversation and a mix from Peter Van Hoesen. His work has always sat slightly outside the frame: techno, ambient, experimental, but never quite typical of any. Instead of chasing momentum, he’s built a practice around attention to sound, to context, and to the possibilities of performance.

At Mostra, he’ll step into a rare DJ role, playing a drum & bass set shaped by years of quietly following the genre’s more experimental edges. In this exchange with Griff and Zach, he reflects on what still draws him to that sound, how his relationship to playing out has shifted, and why intention matters more than ever. The mix he’s shared alongside the interview follows that same line — precise, considered, and wide open. A final entry before we gather next Thursday at Fabra i Coats in Barcelona.

Delayed x Mostra: Peter Van Hoesen

@oscarmulero is one of those artists whose sound is immediately identifiable. It has had an unwavering depth, headiness and atmospheric richness to it for more than 30 years, which is a remarkable achievement few can match. A famous non-conformist, the Spaniard's top-tier three-deck mixing skills and ability to distil techno to its most hypnotic form have also long stood him apart, as have his Polegroup and Warm Up labels.

Mulero's consistency of sound means you know what you're going to get with this mix: spaced-out, layered and deep techno brilliance. Whether more dubby and roomy or glitchy and intense, it's music for both mind and body from one of the scene's most low-key but high-class veterans. Turn it up loud and look forward to more of the same when he plays at Dekmantel Festival later this year.

Berlin’s Refracted has been a name dear to us for some time, having contributed a remix to our inaugural label release nearly six years ago. The Paral·lel co-curator and resident has cultivated a devoted following over the years for his uncompromising vision developed through a remarkable catalog of releases for label such as Silent Season, Bitta, Sublunar and his own Mind Express. For our series Refracted contributes a mix true to his signature style, crystalline and patiently layered with unwavering intent, drawing across decades and genres to invite us into a divine state of mind. Kancheli is a Georgian producer and a resident DJ at Bassiani who has been crucial in shaping the country’s club culture, going on to become one of the most popular DJs in his hometown Tbilisi, headlining many major festivals in Georgia and performing at the industry’s most respected venues such as Berghain, Robert Johnson, Shelter, Dimensions and CTM Festival.

Behind the decks, Kancheli is capable of conjuring up the kind of magic that can only come from a 10+ year residency at one of electronic music’s finest institutions, with this exceptional mix another fine example of his intricate sonic sorcery and mind-controlling incantations.
