In German literary tradition, there’s a type of novel called the bildungsroman. A typical bildungsroman follows a hero’s trajectory from birth to adulthood, charting their scrapes with reality and confrontations with chaos, until they finally emerge – a little scratched and bruised, but holding a hard-won nugget of enlightenment. Sanoi’s new self-titled album is a bildungsroman in deep house form, tracing the artist’s growth and fall from innocence, his confrontation with reality and eventual reconciliation with the vastness of the universe.

‘Project Number XXX’ summons a darker and more insistent groove, but adds a layer of the most imploring pads over the top.

‘A Moment in Time'  the innocence of Sanoi’s younger self has all but evaporated, and we’re in a new territory of breakbeats, sinister acid lines and weighty chord progressions. The track might call to mind your first experience standing alone in a big club full of sweating strangers and earth-quaking beats. As thrilling as it is, coming of age can be a daunting experience.

Label director Jesse Kuch and Boy With Boat wrap things up with their second "Boy With Kuch" remix. Bearing the “Metatron” title, it features celestial leads, percussion and basslines.

SixthSense Australia is pleased to present an Exclusive Premiere of Electrypnose's 'Discipline', coming out soon on his long awaited Digital Structures LP - 'Crooked House'. 

'Discipline' is brilliance in waveform for 7 and a half minutes. Gobsmacked by Electrypnose's use of Sine Bells and atmospheres, dancers will be hypnotised by the overall grit and toughness of the track. Discipline is one of the main cogs in the LP tying together a variety of moods with this dark, driving, prog-tech banger.

This week we have SoupHerb Records boss - Ash Roy take the SoundCast reigns. Tribalistic, dark, minimal techno vibes here. 

Us Aussies will be very familiar with Ash. His 2019 tour around Australia saw him play a wild set at the Bushtechno stage at Eso. Coupled with a few loose times around the Burn, Ash knew how to fire up our dance floors with his unique sets complemented by his live percussion drumming over his signature chunky minimal techno steeze. 

Some interesting facts about the legend: He's played at Awakenings Festival (HUGE), Played WITH the likes of Richie Hawtin, Dubfire and Sasha (WTF) and won awards, featuring on magazines like the Rolling Stones. All that along with the fact that he's toured half the globe and released on gnarly record labels and resides in the Techno Mecca of the World - Berlin for half the year. 

He lives an interesting life, whilst cooking up some pretty dancey techaz. Join us in having a sick one to this Ash Roy SoundCast !!

'The World's Recreation,' is the title of Crennwiick's impressive 8 track album. The sound envelops this concept through intelligent, progressive layering and his use of expansive, sci-fi textures. Complimenting this, there are warm, analog instruments, bouncy basslines and linguistic synth motifs. He explores a much-loved Digital Diamonds fringe sound that borrows from progressive and minimal techno, deep house and electronica. At times it can be euphoric and inspiring, other times just downright groove-ridden. You'll feel right at home listening to this masterpiece.
