Sharp Waters Music releases a twelve track masterpiece, Warrior Sound.  A manifestation of sonic frequencies arises from the journey that is Galen Farrel, who has roots in Monterey Bay punk rock and reggae and Bay Area’s hip hop culture.  Creating a pioneering soundscape, he fuses pulsating bass beats, dubs, and electrifying rhythms which make for an incredible psychedelic nourishment of varying tempos and themes.  He paints and draws experimental energies of intricate patterns which resonate magically within each sound composition and furthers a hypnotic atmosphere.  Sharing ancient visions, this odyssey is a mind boggling, jaw-dropping, and groundbreaking unification of intuitive warrior powers.

Planted in the soils of Monterey Bay punk rock and reggae, Sharp Waters Music bloomed in fog-riddem’ Bay Area hip-hop. Melodizing notes of beauties and atrocities alike, the sound caught the Pacific winds up the blues of the California Delta, to take in the sun and rain of Sacramento Valley’s Midnite Events. Enriched by fertile fidelities, and driven to gyrate skyward, the sound found refuge in Lightning in a Bottle, resonating vibrations to Symbiosis, and making way to set roots in Lucidity. The path becoming clear, and the struggle ever real, seeds were set in Flagstaff, at Firefly, in Hurricane, Ashville, and the swamps of Suwannee, where leaf fell to ineffable geometry, and elder souls gave guide the way. Rivers led to New Orleans, and across the plains to the pueblos of the high plateau, in Taos, New Mexico. Now enjoying the rays of the upper canopy, with the tough bark of far travels, and a cambium with the capacity for circulating a way of peace, Sharp Waters Music is here to share in the ancient ways, painting in pastels of spectral odyssey and opaque overtones of binary, stories of origin and presence of being.

Indie-Electronic duo Bassline Drift offer up their debut album 'Proximity,' out now on Gravitas Music. Producer-vocalist pair Keli Marks and Rachel 'Sink' Lindsay prove to be a potently powerful combination, blending hypnotic vocal dexterity and bass-filled electronic elements that captivate the listener from the onset. Stylistically, the songs draw from worldly and imaginative influence, with both upbeat and slower treasures contained within. The follow up to last year’s 'Ten Moons' EP, this new full length LP consists of seven original tracks and two remixes from producers Nanda & Kermode, and is available on all digital retailers. 

Opening with the sensual 'Nature,' the listener is transported to a seductive fantasy realm by the provocative mixture of Marks' emotive melodies and Lindsay's sultry voice. Next, the title track combines minimal beats with somber verses to produce a stimulating, dynamic ballad. Alluding to struggles of the soul, slower tracks like 'Your Heart is Mine' and 'I Don’t Know How To Be In Love' are mysterious and haunting hymns of heartache laid upon delicate rhythms. Effortlessly, ‘Scoundrel’ snaps the listener back to their senses. A perfect pick-me-up, the tune is an entrancing fusion of R&B, blues, and bass filled to the brim with attitude. Dhumavati comes next; a hybrid of exquisite, middle eastern vocals and heavy bass sounds, the track is an elevation of intensity compared to the rest of 'Proximity.' Easily the happiest piece on the album, 'Our Own Home' features varied acoustic instrumentation, injecting the song with cheerful, feel-good vibes. Rounding out the LP, Kermode slows things down with a sexy melodic dubstep twist on 'Proximity,' followed closely by Nanda’s psychedelic, experimental take on 'Nature.'
