Enmossed x Psychic Liberation (ENXPL) is pleased to present the first section of "Micro", a trittico (three-part operatic suite) by Afro-Belgian, Italy-based musician, composer, sound designer and music art therapist Marie Rose Sarri. With extensive academic training and now helming the well-equipped studio FixInTheMix LABS, Marie Rose creates music in "a 360° mode". Sarri expresses a cultivated sonic curiosity across commissioned pieces for radio, television, film, installations, and festivals, as well as through a variety of monikers (Marie e le Rose, Moon RA, MonoLogue, and more) in the form of numerous releases for labels worldwide.

"Controvento" is a 40-minute electro-acoustic surround-sound composition marked by meticulous sound design and elegant progression. Combining modern computer-based composition methods with traditional analog processing, the stereo mixdown presentation of "Controvento" is warmly inviting, floating the listener across breezy vistas. A subtle foreboding provides a counterpoint to playful whispers and whooshes, harkening to both Groupe de Recherches Musicales (GRM) and basement ambient tapers of the latter half of the 20th century. But Marie Rose's masterful execution places "Controvento" in a class of its own, a singular piece centered in the present day.

The track was created on the occasion of one of the composer's two electroacoustic composition exams and it was performed, in its quadraphonic version, in the "L. Cherubini" Conservatory in Florence in 2019.

Glittering shards of glass and metal drifting on deep ocean currents cast vague illuminations upon eroding concrete structures. An occasional glimpse of sunlight filters through the depths, suspended by bubbling hydrothermal vents. Fujinoki creates a series of gestures blurring texture and rhythm, an analog balm for the colloid of post-industrial aches.

Composed during a whirlwind period of touring and sound engineering in 2019, ???? functions as both a tranquil refuge and as a heartfelt appreciation for the instruments highlighted. Berlin-based Bridget Ferrill crystallizes her professional recording experience and artist residencies into a singular focus on Buchla modular, harp, zither, and viola da gamba. Not merely an exercise in technical mastery, Ferrill's careful arrangements invite us to linger with each instrument; in her words, fulfilling the longing to "listen a little longer, a little slower". Every contour of the instruments is lovingly traced, a warm invite for us to join her in the exuberance of exploring their inner life.

This is a template worth reflection as we enter a further atomizing digital age wherein the role of in-person connectivity is actively subverted and co-opted by convenient social interfaces. This program aims to create a model by which inspiration and information can be pulled from and applied to aiding burgeoning communities regardless of form, content, or make-up.

Japan's leading noise luminary Merzbow meets American electro-feedback artist Arcane Device as they mix and manipulate each other's work. The result are droning, bubbling sonic textures that are as serene as they are extreme pushing the boundaries and meeting in the middle. Both artists contribute long-form manipulations that inspire contemplation as much as highly caffeinated charges of sonic skullduggery. Sonic textures take center stage on Merzbow & Arcane Device.

David Lee Myers aka Arcane Device has been building electronics and creating feedback based electronic music since the late 70's. He has collaborated with Tod Dockstader, Kim Cascone, Asmus Tietchens among others.

Masami Akita's legendary Merzbow project has established him as an international electronic phenomenon and this collaboration with Arcane Device is being released at the same time as a 20th anniversary reissue of his Merzbeat album and a CD reissue of his 1983 album Material Action, all on Important Records.

“Death Ceremonies” is the darkest, most primitive death industrial record, soaked throughout with the smell of rotting corpses and burning bodies.

Controlled Death (MASONNA) features Yamazaki’s most compulsive Korg MS-20 drones and obsessive, disturbing vocals, drenched with anxiety and alienation. Dense atmospheres of doom, death and decay build up just to break away in deep paranoia. Rudolf Eb.er (SCHIMPFLUCH) scratches a near-dead violin over horrifying synth tones, celebrating obscure forest rituals, unearthing an archaic actionism and long forgotten witchery – decomposing his raw sounds on dusty magnetic tape.

Maso Yamazaki (best known for his extreme Japanoise project Masonna) and Rudolf Eb.er (Swiss noise-actionists of the legendary Schimpfluch circle) collaborated live and in the studio multiple times during the mid and late 90’s. Both based in Osaka, Japan, a spontaneous meeting brought up their mutual interest in degraded and primitive black metal. Discussing their own latest black brews of sinister side projects gave birth to the idea of the “Death Ceremonies” LP.
