Most of the work on this track has been done by Marco, but still, It's a rework of a prototype track I have made for him and he has done an awesome track out of it.

During the last years I had the honour to been involved with the SceneSat community which is a netradio/netlabel focusing on the DemoScene artists and friends. Once again they invited me to submit some tracks for their Sound Of SceneSat compilation. I had three little tracks waiting for this compilation to go out and thought, why not releasing them on their own as well ? So I just packed them together and created what could be defined as a Triptych (a work of art that is divided into three sections).



Hope you will enjoy this humble release. Two tracks to get you in the mood, leading you to the third one which is the main piece of this EP. This last track is trying to grab a bit of the vibe of the computer and downtempo music I was listening in the 80-90s. Hope you'll enjoy this little trip into my world. Another experiment, this time simply based on a chord progression processed thru the "Flakes" ROM of Sonic Charge Pattern8 plugin. Lovely effect. It also has a link to a old classic trance I liked (Lotus Position from The Irresistible Force).

Disconnection

Full of chilling synths, comfy bass and downtempo beats, here is the second part of the Triptych series !

This second part could be considered a bit more ambient and downtempo than the first one. But to my taste, it is even more expressive and loaded with a special sonic character, thanks to even more hardware synths and effects used on this one.

Thank you for continuing this journey with me, for your comments, for your likes and your shares ! I am now doing music for myself, but you are the reason to share it all. Hopefully the triangle will be completed before next year 🙂

If only one remix had to be made, it was this one. I watched the original 1993 Amiga demo countless times and always wanted to remix it. Here is my dream remix of the full demo. I must say that I'm pretty proud of this one, it was a lot of work.

This track is currently scored 93%, all-time ranked #24 on Remix64 and is considered winner of the 2008 Amiga Remix of the year. You can also read comments on it's AmigaRemix page.

Thanks to Ziphoid for giving me very nice words and SLAY Radio time when it was released, to all DemoScene DJs out there who also gave comments or used the track whenever a DJ could need a 18 minutes break :) 

As a challenge, this remix was almost done without any computer (I used one to read the original mods, feed the sequencer and to assemble the different parts). Hardware synthesizers, sequencers, effects, multi-track recorders were used instead. It definitely does give a different feel in the sound of the remix.

Take the time to listen it all, or at least to skip into the different parts... personally the first is not my favourite but I think it gets better from part to part.
