NEW SIMON DEMO/SONG SINCE LIKE A MONTH AGO, WHY A MONTH AGO? YOUR BOY'S GOING THRU DEPRESSION-INDUCED WRITER'S BLOCK. YOUR BOY HAS LOST IT. HERE'S SOME ALBUM #3 MATERIAL VERIFIED. I'VE BEEN HOLDING OFF THE RELEASE OF THIS SONG FOR ONE NAGGING REASON: IT SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE SEBADOH'S 1993 SONG SOUL AND FIRE. YET ANOTHER SONG I LIKE TO PLAY REPEATEDLY ON MY RECORD PLAYER.

i wrote bits and pieces of this (mainly the second chorus and second verse) at the beginning of february 2016 while at spadina station after realizing that i wasn't going to see someone who i liked very much anymore, and i wrote most of the verses earlier this week. one of the first five songs i wrote for 2016/my third record which will come out GOD KNOWS WHEN but, soon. i have a title/album cover ready for that and everything, it'll be my quickest album ever.  you know what my therapists say: the more breakups i endure, the more juicy music i write.
