Psycle.’s expertly curated catalogue continues with a new addition from Pow-Low that comes hot on the heels of his last single Crown back in February.

@Pow-Low is a core part of this label and keeps serving up the goods with each new offering. He hails from the Italian part of Switzerland but his musical endeavours have taken him all over the world. He’s formally studied drums with Pierre Favre, been playing in bands since his teenage years, studied recording engineering and production and worked in high end studios in Hollywood and South Africa as well as DJing with lot’s of passion.

REBEL is lively house music that is enriched with warm, smeared chords, tribal bass and funky female vocal chops. It features live drums recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London.

I had the great honor and pleasure to produce the 5 new tracks on this album! I had a great time working with the band in the studio and on the road. We used the NED Synclavier Tapeless system extensively on this record.
For me another amazing experience was the remix of the CORONER's legendary track "Grin", that led into my own band project "No Religion".

The three snippets from this record were remastered in September 2021.

The Penniless Wild is an indie/folk/rock outfit based out of Hartford, CT. Originally comprised as a folk duo, they have since transformed into a five-piece electric unit, while holding true to their folk style of writing. The band released their first studio project in late 2017 entitled “Cardboard Sheets” and have been performing regionally in support of the EP playing with bands like Good Old War, Bronze Radio Return and The Ghost Of Paul Revere, to name a few

Replacing acoustic guitars with electric guitars and the stomping of feet with driving bass and hard hitting drums, the band brings an intense, heartfelt rock and roll aspect to their music. Recently nominated for Roots Act of the year in the New England Music Awards, they are picking up more and more momentum and are currently in the studio recording their second record.

Now into its tenth year, the ever-eclectic Psycle label welcomes Swiss-Italian @Pow-Low for a new single that gets backed by a remix from Zurichs Are:Age.Pow-Low is a student of jazz star Pierre Favre, has been playing live since 13 andreleasing music on vinyl since 17. He is skilled on the synclavier system, has workedat the legendary Record Plant studio in Hollywood and as in-house engineer at SouthAfricas Bop-Studios, and has mastered a Peter Gabriel record as well as producinghuge thrash metal act Coroner. On top of this he runs his own event Hertz, which haswelcomed many big dance acts, and has been resident at various key clubs in Zurich.Following on from his remixes of Double Barrelled earlier in November, he now servesup The Boogie Man. Its a deliciously deep mid tempo house track with wet claps andwarm, skewed Moog licks. Sci-fi melodies rise up through the mix between seductivewhispers, and the whole thing exudes real cool. Various pads and synth riffs also addfuturistic colour and help sink you further into a state of hypnosis. @Are:Age is a young producer from Zurich, regular at the famous Hive-Club and besidesPsycle he has released on Baroque and Babylon Records. His remix is trippier andmore upright but just as atmospheric. Its a real funky little shuffler that will wake up anearly evening dance floor or keep a late night party locked into the deepness.Once again PSYCLE has come correct with two truly tasteful house tracks here.
