In the late ‘90s, it’s very rare that you wouldn’t find me record shopping at 9-12 St. Annes Court. I would make a pilgrimage there every week and hope to pick up all the current anthems that were getting dropped at Escape From Samsara and Pendragon. If I was lucky, I would hear a sneak peak of the latest banger being written in the adjacent studio.
The in-house music produced there is without doubt my favourite of the UK scene at the time - the Acid Trance being pumped out by Choci and his various labels really epitomised the underground clubbing scene in London and was the soundtrack to the best days of my life...
Researching, sourcing, compiling and sequencing this mix has been a real labour of love for me and I hope you can hear that passion and admiration I have for the music come through in the mix.
