Swarm. - Exhumatory (CLIP)

Recently I want to give my songs meaning, as a follower of Christ and a heavy dubstep producer, I want to express that with my music. Not many heavy dubstep producers have their music convey these messages. I hope y’all enjoy. This isn’t to convince you or throw Christianity in your face. If it shows you the beauty and love of God, that’s all I want from these songs :)

Father, Forgive them, for they know not what they do

Background: this is my first song I made with a real message to it. A couple days ago I had this melody in my head and it stuck with me. Then I thought of incorporating the melody with a gritty and distorted dubstep drop. The Holy Spirit gave me that idea for this song. The Lord blessed me with a music talent and the Holy Spirit allowed me to use that to make a song with a biblical message behind it. Not many dubstep songs have messages, but this one does. It’s not explicit because it’s mostly just sounds, but that’s the point, it’s for interpretation, but this is my meaning for the song. 

Melody: represents God’s beauty, his love, Represents Him and the sacrifice he made for us. The melody is bittersweet. It’s a beautiful melody with some sadness in it as well. The melody is like this because the Lord loves us and so he sacrificed his only son for us to save us.

In the beginning of the song the melody gradually comes in, as said previously, the melody represents God. The steadiness of the melody coming in represents God’s gentleness in revealing himself. God is a loving and caring God, even as his son was on the cross being insulted and destroyed, it was for a purpose, it was for us and God still cared for and loved us. 
When Jesus starts crying out to the Lord, his father, the melody stops, signifying God’s open ears and heart to receive Jesus’ plead for us sinners. It also shows God’s open heart to hear our pleads and prayers.

Jesus crying out to the Lord:

As said in the previous section, Jesus cries out to the Lord for us. Pleading that he forgives us because we don’t know what we are doing, we are plagued and corrupted by sin. But that is what Jesus died for, to save us from the sins and the corruption and for us to be made new. Jesus also loved and cared for us. As they were insulting him and brutally beating him, he still wants the Lord to forgive us. Forgiveness is one of the greatest qualities of Gods love. Forgiveness and love covers a multitude of sins.

Drop: after the part when Jesus cries out to the Lord, the drop comes in. The distorted and gritty sounds represent us humans as sinners and the chaos and destruction that sin causes.  Within the drop you can hear the melody that represents God as said previously. This signifies that in a world of sin and destruction, there is still a Loving God showing himself within the corruption, calling out to his children and have closeness with us, to have a relationship with us, to guide us on the path of righteousness. In this world of sin, an almighty God dwells among us, subtlety and gently his love never wavering, the same melody constantly plays throughout the song signifying that.
