Since their debut release in 2011, NX1 has put out some inspiring material on their own label (NX1) and others like Semantica, M_Rec and End of Dayz. The group consist of Samot and Surit, both with great interest in electronic music. The interest evolved into passion, and the passion evolved into techno music. 

Their live sessions display a wide variety of styles in techno. Heavy and humid atmospheres that permeate the dance floor, breaks and fat basses that investigate the deeper and more intellectual part of the genre. Fusing classic sounds with new evolved ones and with touches of IDM and electronic music from the 90s.

We are a bit stoked to launch todays episode. After we listened to this episode for the first time, we got a feeling of “WTF?!” after it was done… In this episode NX1 takes us on a ride starting with atmospheric tracks, all to way to the boiling point of meaty techno grooves.

Sublunar, the record label founded by Sciahri and Dagdrom last year starts his 2018 with a brand new EP from the Berlin based artist Refracted, known for his releases on Semantica, Pole Group, Silent Season and Mind Express.
 
This 12″ perfectly represent how his style has been crafted during these years, a balanced mixture between his incredible ear for detail, tunnelling trips and tougher beats.

 The EP starts with Vórtice and as the title says you will encounter a complex vortex of tribalist percussion, a mindblowing headtrip with plenty of moving parts slowly progressing across its eight minutes.  Ray it’s a full immersion into a trippy atmosphere with an high detailed percussive accompaniment, the result is a display of power and finesse.  Meta gives the title to the 12″ and shows to the listener a full overview of the skills hidden into Refracted’s repertoire. A tune that it’s constantly evolving over his runtime where a pressurized kickdrum push the tension higher after every beat.  Meridian, the closing track, stands out for its adventurous sound design, featuring an endlessly pulsating environment where everything is floating delicately in suspension.

BIO:
NX1 came in with strength into the international techno scene with the release of their first record on their label at the end of 2011. NX1 01 was limited to 200 hand stamped white vinyl copies that reached the top sellers on the renowned Dutch distributor Clone.nl in just a few days. This, in turn, made them receive immediate support by heavy weights of the genre such as Surgeon and Marcel Dettman among many others.
Since then, the NX1 project has not stopped growing and evolving, with dozens of records behind them, they have continued to produce a wide range of material from which many big personalities in the scene have been feeding. Thanks to this the spotlights have been moving towards their releases and productions.
During this time, they've been asked to collaborate and contribute to the respective projects from artists like Terence Fixmer (Planete Rouge), Dax J (Monnom Black), Oscar Mulero (Pole Group), Svreca (Semántica), Developer (Modularz), AnD (Inner Surface Music) Bas Mooy (MORD) or Go Hiyama (Hue Helix) among many others. This has inevitably led them to gain recognition from the international press and catapulted them into a series of performances in clubs and events all over the world that allowed them to highlight their capabilities as producers and their ability on stage.
Their live sessions and sets display a wide variety of styles in techno. Dense drum loops, breaks, aggressive metals and fat basses that perform the most rhythmic and raw part of the genre with touches of IDM, industrial and electronic music from the 90s.
In 2017 they started Nexe Records as their main label, adding it to the already working NX1 label with which they started the project and that they keep up to date by editing only their own material.

Vinyl collector since his young age, he came in contact with Detroit Techno and with all its different shades during years. His first record was released on Jeff Mills’s Axis Records in 2006, followed by a series of vinyl releases on Construct Re-form, Dolly and other labels, remixes for Efdemin and Patrice Scott. In 2011 he decided to start his own label ‘Exploration’. The imprint is dedicated to conceptual techno and science-fiction music and has given him full creative freedom.
During the last years Johannes gained a lot of experience as a DJ and played gigs in many places in Europe, such as Berghain, Corsica Studios, Concrete, Panorama Bar, Tresor, Rex Club and many more.

New Year kicks off for MindTrip with the 4th edition of our Mutable Minds series. This time label boss Pfirter selected 4 different yet unique and powerful tracks from new comers as well as already established artists on the label.

The VA starts with SRIE's label heads, Translate & Pulso, from Buenos Aires who worked together on dissecting compositions down to sparse rhythmic explorations, disruptive power shifts and nebulous bass bliss embodied in one track called Moriarty. Next comes Kike Pravda, the well-known Spanish DJ, producer and Senoid Recordings' owner, with his signature modular and bass heavy sound on Heat.

Nørbak introduced himself to the MindTrip world with his exclusive mix on MindTrip Podcast episode 38 and now he returns on this VA with his tune Avadhuta. Melbourne-based Vohkinne is on closing duties for this VA with his track Active Radio, a pure straighter dancefloor fare.

This mixture of great musicians from all over the world, combining the sound of electronic music, is making Mutable Minds IV so unique. Take a close listen.
