Obscure music from Bangalore's underground Weirdo. If you like retro scifi, vintage stuff, this one's for you!!!

The music is heavily influenced by the likes of Radiohead, David Bowie, and many late 50s early 60s sci-fi movies and shows. It would appeal to people who like the movie 'Edward scissor hands, Various artists under the Ultra lounge compilation or the video game 'bully' or the tv show 'stranger things’. Due to the spacey eerie nature of the music, it’s a subtle tribute David Bowie, and an eternal quest in searching for him in space. In another light, it could be a song for Mr Bond on anti-depressants.

About my debut “EP IN MY DREAMS”
It is an instrumental EP …..With regard to the musical aspect unlike the general inclination I have for coming out with rather disturbingly raw heavy aggressive metal sounds and tracks, I thought of taking the path less known as my first ever venture into independent music. “IN MY DREAMS” is an amalgamation of various sounds from the ambient sphere. The tracks are more or less confined to ambient trippy psychedelic progressive elements with a slight hint of orchestral scores and an overall alternative experimental rock sound. And in short, I guess it’s a fusion of LOUNGE and EXPERIMENTAL/ALTERNATIVE ROCK…….thus LOUNGE ROCK …….the tracks “Ambientia”, “Plasma” and “Hypnausea” add to the whole experience of AMBIENT/TRIPPY/STONER lullabies and give the strange alien-ish sci-fi ambience to the EP, while “My Airport scene”, “Early morning lullaby” and “Smile at the Stars” are simply meant for a serene calm peaceful night-post midnight experience with the night ,the sky and the stars. Unanimously and MY PERSONAL Favorite will have to be the 6th track titled “ ME AND THE MOON” which is calm serene ambient and even romantic summing up the entire EP and this is the very track that brings this whole debut musical odyssey to a full circle. A recommendation is that this should be listened to at night to give and accentuate the entire ambient feel of the music and if you have a terrace or any mode of looking out to the sky and stars, then  nothing like it :) :) :) . . My Airport Scene

Psyko Suneel is the solo musical project of one Sunil R.B (from Bangalore) who wishes and wants to make and spread music that are on polar ends of the musical spectrum, IE, in short; on one hand making metal songs, and at the same time alternative experimental compositions on the other.

As a perspective for musical expression at the same time genre differentiation, he represents himself as 2 different images, something out of a DR. JEKYLL MR HYDE reference. He visually represents himself either with an alien mask or black face paint. 


On one hand, the metal side (displayed as the black face paint) Musically and sound-wise, attempts to bring out a crossbreed and mix-match of nu-metal, thrash metal, groove metal and post-grunge with emphasis on bass lines and rhythms, and Lyrically represents an outburst and venting out of negativity with themes primarily ranging from rage, anger, hate, frustration, rebellion, pain, protest, suffering, fear, insecurities and other related themes. In this regard, about 3 months ago, psyko Suneel released a song “BACK WITH THE SICKNESS” to exhibit, as a gist of what people can expect of his metal pursuits.
Influences are Slipknot, Hatebreed, Soulfly/Sepultura, Fear factory, Devil driver, Mushroomhead, System of a down, Mudvayne, Filter, Drowning pool


As a stark contrast to the former, the alternative side (represented by the alien mask) musically attempts to explore and represent anything and everything that is strange and weird; Music and Sound that is synonymous with terms such as soft melodies, Weird lounge, trippy rhythms, avante-garde, ambient spheres and soundscapes, and an overall experimental yet alternative sound. Most of the compositions represented are instrumentals. The song sequence patterns are a Paradox in itself as they are very basic, predictable yet with a tad bit of complex progressive undertones. And these stand testimony to the upcoming release of his debut EP; “IN MY DREAMS”, and along with that, he plans on introducing the listeners and audience to a new brand of comforting yet mysterious sounds which he terms/brands as “STONER LULLABIES”. The EP is set for an October release. If one likes the sounds of ‘the bicycle days’, ‘lounge piranha’, ‘pangea’ and ‘emergence’ etc, they can definitely look forward to this effort.
 Influences include incubus, celldweller, the flower kings, Nine inch nails, Abigail’s ghost, muse, radiohead, Hans zimmer, Buddha Bar collective etc.

Hi, I'm Sunil R.B, and this is my little split Personality; Psyko Suneel. I aspire to be the Dr. Jekyll- Mr. Hyde of the Indian independent music scene. A musical schizophrenic of sorts;  playing alternative and ambient compositions on one side to metal tracks on the other.
