Born in May 1987 in Venice, he first met the world of electronic music when he was 14. After having listened to different kinds of music, it is in 2003 that he gets in touch with the world of psytrance. Soon it becomes his stronger passion and he decides to cooperate with some friends (Francesco from Assioma and Winny) to found the “monkey tribe”. They organized several events in Italy during the following years. In 2003 he starts its experience as a dj, however, after 5 years, it became clear that the mixer was not enough, and that playing someone else’s music could not fully express himself. He begins now to take confidence with music production and, after 2 years of hard work in his studio, and even thank to the help and training of his friend Dust, he debuts with mole project in July 2010. This project will be immediately followed by further releases. His music is a mix between the fat jumping baselines from the full on and the psychedelic leads and atmospheres from the night music. The outcome is a groovie psytrance that will pump the dancefloors and blast yours brains for sure.

We have been waiting to get this power mix out, perfectly executed by Motion Theory! You are gonna be blown away by his attention to detail and insane track selection! , one of our latest additions to the PsynOpticz familia from Cape Town. We are proud to have him representing the label with his passion and enthusiasm for the psychedelic scene, and every set we see him play, he creates unique experiences for the dancefloor. The way we like it and the way you love it!

Motion Theory is the psychedelic trance project by Tyron Berry, Psytrance lover and specialist, born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. He has been involved in the music scene since his childhood and he soon discovered the psytrance scene in the early 2000's, which is now his primary passion and artistic expression. He spends most of his time mixing in the studio, trying to improve his mixing skills and experimenting new ideas, with the aim of exciting and injecting the dance floor with pure energy.
He is also well-known in the local scene as Spiritual Protocol, his Twilight act signed to Enterprise Records Israel and Kaos Krew Records South Africa, for the quality and maturity of his track selection and being able to read the crowd, playing tracks from well respected labels in the twilight scene... which reflects the knowledge he acquired through the years of studio time. 
Through his creativity and understanding of audio manipulation the Motion Theory project was born.

Guillaume is an audiophile at heart, he practiced playing the drums for many years, performed with various bands and went through many musical genres until he discovers the first electronic sounds in the 90s, which offerd him such new and exciting horizons that turning back becomes impossible !
In 1993 that he decided to take on turntables and start mixing at events in Southeast France. From there, his passion for music continues to guide him on a journey filled with exchanges and encounters across the globe and its dance floors. He joined the Swiss label PEAK RECORDS in 2007, and collaborated with famous duo YabYum and Ajja.
In 2016, continuing with his search for new experiences, he can be found alongside the artists of the Digitals Shamans Records.
Composition, creativity, search for new sounds and his passion for the technology are the source of the delights he creates through his music: psychedelic, energetic and groovy.
Since joining DSR, Guillaume has released three full power VA's compiled from the best of the best. Each release presents a new and exciting story, presented by talents from around the world. Through the union of prestigious artists such as Ajja, Gaspard, Ingrained Instincts, Headworks, Earthworm, Jumpstreet, Psymmetrix ... among many others, each of these compilations have made their mark.

The mastermind behind PsynOpticz, Calvin aka SwiTcHcaChe, has developed a keen ear for prospective acts, being both organiser as well a DJ. By committing to bringing out new and exciting acts to Cape Town, he uncovered many artists that share his love for non-generic and energetic psychedelic music, and his desire grew to expose this incredible music to the unsuspecting psy masses. Currently, the PsynOpticz stable is represented by artists from around the globe, each bringing their own unique approach and sound to the psychedelic world stage.
