4x4 was my second attempt at creating a musical project of separate parts that each flowed through an unbroken process. It has moments of relaxation and chaos, ultimately leading to a soothing, gentle end. The tracks are conceptually distinct but overall the album is one long mix of my own original melodies and (purchased) Ableton samples.

Overall 4x4 is a mirror of itself, you'll notice recurring beats and melodies that travel to a midway point and then repeat in reverse as the track goes in from a relaxed to chaotic state, and then out again in a completed reflection.

Like my previous two projects, Flotsam is a free-flowing album with conceptually distinct tracks in a continuous mix of my own original melodies and (purchased) Ableton samples.

Flotsam is a sea-voyage, a new phase of exploring music, where moments could be pensive and melancholy in one moment and exciting in another, and sometimes simultaneously. It aims to be uplifting, chaotic, and engaging.

Lullaby Space started as a small project to help me sleep. I've always had trouble sleeping, my mind is very active. Then again, I've also had lots of trouble being awake.

Surprisingly my children found the music very soothing and comforting during a troubling time in our lives, and this was my proudest moment in playing with sound. So I finished the project.

Lullaby Space is a free-flowing blend of ambient and downtempo electronica, designed to soothe and explore gentle emotions in the process of drifting away.

I wrote and recorded the lyrics for Pop Flops during the chaotic COVID-19 lockdowns, using the same built-in microphones that straddled my webcams for alienated Zoom calls and meetings. I had given myself the challenge of making some pop songs, just to see what would come of it. Then life fell apart, as it does, and came back together again, as it does...

Recently, I came back to colour in the rough outlines from years ago, adding some more layers and little easter eggs for hungry ears - still just openly exploring what on earth it would sound like if I tried pop on. It was fun and satisfying, especially being able to transform some unhappy content into bops that made me smile. I hope you enjoy also :)

Brag Piece is my first experiment with rap/hip-hop. It begins with a long ambient phase that eventually slams into self-affirming, free-flowing verses. 

It will appear at the turning point of an upcoming full rap album, Journal. Was fun and therapeutic to make, I hope you enjoy as well.
