Their debut single Rich Kids stuck two fingers up at all things pretentious and took a little swing at the government, while it's follow ups gave out an important messages about the dangerous size zero culture, summed up the banking crisis and made observations on popular culture in 2012.

New single Animal is simply a blissful stomp of a song. Animal will make your ears prick up like a puppy and have you smiling and jumping for joy like a mad person. Animal is a filthy, beautiful Glam punk rock explosion.

Screama Ballerina have been championed by Rodney Beingheimer (KROQ radio in LA), BBC Introducing South, BBC Introducing Berkshire, XFM, Amazing Radio and numerous other radio stations in Japan, Korea, Germany and the US. The band won two Exposure Music Awards and were Amazing Radio's Best New Band.

After a blistering festival set last August the band were spotted by a European booking agent and this April/May they head out on their debut German/Czech tour.

This summer Screama Ballerina will be joining the likes Misfits, Jello Biafra, Sham 69 and Buzzcoks at Rebellion Festival.
They then head back to Germany for yet more live festival shows and festivals in July.

Screama Ballerina follow in the footsteps on Bloc Party, Pete and the Pirates, Midimidis and Ben Marwood with a monthly residency at the Rising Sun Arts Centre in Reading and have regular shows in their hometown of Brighton where they will also be running their own Vaudeville alternative cabaret night.

2013 is going to be huge year for Screama Ballerina. The video for Animal will be released in May and follow up single Number 37 will be out this summer alongside the release of their eagerly awaited EP.

All this AND John Lydon said he was into what they were doing.
