Next time I will try to remember to turn of the clik track loooooool. Well, I was hearing it, and it's part of it now :P

First melody taken from the choral part of Waltz of the Snowflakes, second melody from Sugar Plum Grand pas de deux (? this is making me sound like a ballet expert... I just like the music and looked up what this one was called.)

Wikipedia says that the second melody here was composed on a wager with a friend that Tchaikovsky could compose a melody on a one-octave scale. Tchaikovsky asked if it was OK if the melody was descending, and, well, here you have it.

The music for The Nutcracker is so familiar it is easy to miss how truly incredible it is. I'm not claiming this live mix is, however :)

Recorded to tape this time and then "mastered" (I use this term loosely as I really do not know what I'm doing) in Reaper.

I may change my workflow a bit for these, and, after performing the live jam, simply splice out the less interesting parts and see if I can improve it. (Note that I don't have the ability to adjust levels per-channel or anything like that, and don't want it...)
