So just a little summin summin I finished months and months ago. It was actually the first tune I wrote after a 6 month quiet spell. Wrote it a 170BPM to "blast out the cobwebs" It's really nothing special, but figured I'd share it anyway. The track has not been mastered and was actually rendered out at -4.5 dB ready for mastering. So please be aware that it ain't gonna be very loud. If enough people ask me for a better version, I might consider uploading a Maximised version. 

Please feel free to comment. There are a few things that I would still personally fix up, but this tune is not my focus right now. Hope you al enjoy

PsySymetrix (aka. Nic Wharton) was first introduced to the Goa and Psychedelic Genre of music back in 1996 in a small out of the way CD shop in Cresta, Johannesburg, South Africa when he picked up the "Trip thru Sound" compilation from BlueRoom Released. Little did he know that that CD would forever change his life in unimaginable ways.

After being a regular at many of the Mushroom Mafia, Lunartech and Solar Sonics parties for many years, he finally decided that just dancing to this intelligent and moving genre was no longer enough. Having completed an audio engineering course a few years earlier, he set out in 2004 to create his signature sound under the PsySymetrix banner.

He set out to create his first live set and performed it for the first time late 2007. In 2008 he had his debut release with "Midnight Twilight" on the "Bundu Bashers" compilation from Amoeba Records. Since then he has released a growing number of tracks on the Karana distribution label which he and fellow local producers started as a platform to showcase local talent.

Since the begining he has continued to refine and tweek his sound, never loosing sight of his experiences and roots in the genre and scene, always trying to draw from them and incorporate it into the psychedelic nature of his music into something that can be considered Dark and Atmospheric, yet still glitchy and twisty. His aim has always been to create Basslines that Kill, and synth and Fx that resurrect. Keeping the listener in a state of Limbo, enabling the mind to be taken to other worldly places thru the music. 

He teamed up with fellow South African DJ and producer, PARALLAX, to form the group known as Syzygy, working for a year on this project and taking their productions to even higher levels and performing at festivals all over the local scene. 

He is currently working on his debut EP and new live set. Always striving to make it bigger, better and more versatile.
