XTCLVR, the brainchild of Ukrainian sound artist and audio producer Artem Diachenko from Buchan near Kyiv, is set to release a new album titled 'INVERSE' on Standard Deviation. XTCLVR cinematic soundscapes have been featured in Standard Deviation’s audiovisual project 'Ridne' showcased at the CTM Festival in Berlin, ICA London and La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris. Known for his deep involvement in Kyiv's underground music scene, Artem is also a key member of the Pep Gaffe and Ejekt collectives, representing a fresh wave of Ukrainian independent artists dedicated to alternative and experimental sounds.

XTCLVR's music is characterized by deep, enveloping ambient passages and sharp synthesizer elements that often transform into hip-hop and dub bass lines. The name XTCLVR (ecstasy lover), created in 2019, humorously echoes with the techno culture.

'INVERSE' unveils a different facet of XTCLVR’s sound, with heavier and more aggressive tones. The traditional genres dissolve, and a grotesque tone draws the listener into a surreal, chimeric journeyThe album blends rich synthesizers and post-club polyrhythms with euphoric, upbeat elements, maintaining his distinctive style. Written throughout 2022-2023, the tracks on 'INVERSE' reflect a time of emotional instability and a dream-like state: is this all for real? The music features liquid sonic textures that escalate into distorted synths, fractured noisescapes, and eerie melodies. A standout track, 'FEEL ME', poses a bold inner dialogue, questioning reality itself.

'INVERSE' will be released on Standard Deviation on the 12th of July 2024.

Hi! Following the story of Denis, Greenline Engineer, we present the podcast of music enthusiast, visual artist, second member of the Aspect formation and designer of the Vestnik Podcast, Gene Casanin aka HYper JOhn.
Deeply immersed in the British underground, he shaped his taste in Bradford, Manchester and Eastbourne, soaking up dubstep, braindance, jungle, drum & bass and bleep. He was part of the Plutonic project, organized parties with Walter Ego and participated in squat parties.

He was a resident of Rave Alarm (Warsaw, Krakow, Wrocław), a member of Dlon (Warsaw).
In St. Petersburg launched the label Out The Frame Records, co-organized events of Amen Collection, Heartcore and many others.

In his tracks Gene experiments with the technical base, whether it's compositions created with microtonalities or working with oscilloscope in design. He is currently preparing several albums, including a track on the Aspect compilation and an experimental LP on Research Core where the vocals and lyrics are created by AI. His sound is everything he's been through, from Manchester raves to algorithm visualization.

“Roots” is a debut work by Ukrainian multimedia artist Ihor Okuniev @ihorokuniev, featuring 10 ambient tracks  representing artist’s unique vision. The combination of dry, minimalistic soundscapes and dungeon-style synth chords creates a specific sonic atmosphere inspired by artist's fascination with his motherland's nature, customs and traditions. The 10-inch record pressed with handmade lathe cut will be out on December 28th, limited edition of 40 copies.

The song "Matjesfilet" by ACUD (released as a free download in the summer of 2017) certainly caused a sensation. In this casual little anthem the berlin producer, lyricist and singer sings of his desire for fresh fillet of pickled herring (Matjes) and also his Nordic homeland. It is now, in order to salt the rest of the world, officially released as a remixed and remastered version.
