My submission for the #DiscoveryCompetition by Orchestral Tools.

The brief: Compose a piece of music (between 45 seconds and two-minutes long) depicting the moment a new universe is discovered.

My scene: Exiting a wormhole and arriving at a vast new star system. An azure planet glistens in the light cast by its star, to the wide-eyed wonder of the starship crew. After all this time in the coldest reaches of empty space, they've finally arrived at what might just be their new home.

Tatiana A. Gordeeva's demo is a track using only the sounds of Mini Saron.

Mini Saron is a deeply multi-sampled tuned percussion library that captures the heart and soul of a tiny toy saron. The saron is a musical instrument of Indonesia, which is used in the gamelan. We played 8 of its metal bars with mallets and hammers to explore every nuance of its sound.
