Pino started djing during his teens, with his father as the duo Bone X Zone. Currently based in Berlin he produces and djs as a solo artist under the alias of Pino Peña, and in a duo with Mitchell Jones aka Jones&Roth (@jonesroth). The sound of his productions and sets always varies across genres, offering elements from techno, house and breaks while being inspired by punk, psychedelic and garage rock, jazz, hiphop and much more! He has released on labels like 3024, Glukkon Records, Entourage Concept, Lo Fidelity aswell as on the constantly growing Schimmer Records, where he's also a resident. Expect more to come from him soon, new VA and solo releases and future output on his newly launched Label W133!

This time we invited lu.wicked aka ludwig for our VISION OF podcast series. He recorded a mix for us with a tendency towards progressive happiness. lu.wicked is a Munich DJ with roots in the free rave scene, where he has hosted and DJed many underground and outdoor events in the past. Constantly changing moods are his trademark and groove is his passion. Currently, lu curates and organises the party series "breakfest" in his hometown, with which he tries to offer his audience different ideas with alternative sound in changing locations. FLAX, a German DJ, sound artist, and event manager, has been immersed in various music scenes and subcultures since her youth, shaping her musical journey to the present day. Starting as a professional saxophonist, FLAX transitioned into DJing with the establishment of the network Metaware Weimar in 2019. Alongside DJing, she has also worked as a concept artist, music teacher, booker and she uses her voice in the scene to remedy grievances and abuses.

FLAX's musical style is characterized by "genre-fluid trips," where she skillfully blends diverse genres such as UK bass, experimental, breaks, technoid, percussive rhythms, electro with hip hop samples, trippy arrangements, spoken words, and unique sounds.

During her musicology and cultural management studies at the music university in Weimar, she researched "music and well-being" and delved into the history of electronic music and sound art, with a specific focus on "music & gender" in club culture.

Throughout her academic journey, FLAX began concentrating on mixing and experimenting with ambient, sound art, and deep listening tracks under the same alias, aiming to enhance the well-being of her surroundings and herself through calmer genres. This approach reflects her response to the fast-paced, meritocratic society surrounding us. Her research and exploration profoundly impacted and transformed her approach to mixing, digging, and curating music.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, FLAX is dedicated to empowering young individuals, particularly FLINTA* (Female, Lesbians, Intersex, Non-binary, Transgender, Agender), through workshops, inspiring them to play music self-empoweringly. Currently, she is working on her debut album project in Weimar, while continuing to engage in research projects. Since 2022, she has also been teaching at the Bauhaus University Weimar.

This time we welcome one of the curators of Sound Archives broadcast Zenwerk and his friend Modest on our monthly broadcast with their b2b set which they played at the closing of FEUM party in Denmark, Aarhus.

The energies of Zenwerk and Modest didn’t just align – they harmonized, creating an unmistakable synergy (wink) with each other and with the crowd! This wasn’t just a b2b set – it was feeling, a trance-filled experience journey flowing seamlessly as the night turned into morning.

To pass the atmosphere of the mix we’ve created an analogue cover made from epoxy resin. For this cover we used Reindeer Lichen (which relates to fungus family) to pass the idea of the synergetic network experience and the beauty of nature. Reindeer Lichen is a natural bioindicator, marking whether the environment we are in is clean and in this particular case is groovy and trancey!
