The foundations and the aim of this project are exactly the same of the 808 Box, but this time Alek Stark wanted to focus the attention on some of the artists who helped to build and develop the sound of modern Electro music. Consideration was also given the artists of present and the future of our beloved genre, Underground Electro Music.

Electric Eclectics includes 21 high-quality vinyl records, mastered and cut at 45 rpm for the best sound and dynamics. Each of the first 18 records is dedicated to one artist, the other 2 are in advance of the second part of this project next year. This is more than 3 hours. The total length of the 20 records is almost 9 hours of pure Electro music. Alek also always includes an extra record, this time Electro music master Arpanet, who will have a 7" vinyl record within the box set.

This mix is about 80 minutes but the total length of the 20 records is almost 9 hours of pure Electro music. You do not want to miss this extremely limited release.

After a wonderful subtropical day here in Amsterdam, we are here with the first artist of our 808-roster, this man was based in Manchester for many years but currently resides in Japan from where he co-runs the brilliant Gated Recordings aiming to release top-notch electronic music with an acid, electro and experimental undertone (you can check out the podcast series and the label in the links below).   

His mix for DUSK094 starts with some 4 by 4’s and continues, as he himself describes very poetically; “ into some darker, bass-heavy music, pulling apart the standard tropes, mixing in a little nostalgia, emotive touches and giving a few nods to some titans of the electronic scene such as Pearson Sound, Batu, James Shinra and Blawan. This is lightly peppered with newer talents that Gated is committed to releasing and supporting like The Jaffa Kid, Mazzo and uf0.”

¡Feliz Año a tod@s! Hemos tardado en felicitaros pero queríamos hacerlo con un regalo en forma de set y es que hoy arrancamos de nuevo con las UEMA Series y Wavelet es el responsable de la entrega número 82.
Wavelet es valenciano, matemático y amante, conocedor y defensor del Electro más purista. Bien conocidas son las fiestas We Are The Robots, de las que fue cofundador, y que durante años bajo el amparo de Hypnotica Colectiva, se convirtieron en un verdadero foco de resistencia Electro en el Levante. Y es que Wavelet además de ser un gran conocedor del Electro e IDM es todo un activista.
Fruto de su conocimiento y nivel de implicación con la escena Electro es el nuevo proyecto en el que, nuestro querido Wavelet, se ha embarcado y es que próximamente estrena sello, Tensor Norm, cuyo primer vinilo lo firman ADJ y Sigma Álgebra (cofundador del sello).
Wavelet es un gran amigo del Colectivo y la verdad que andábamos con muchas ganas de publicar alguno de sus magistrales sets, y no ha fallado, Wavelet nos trae una selección perfecta a vinilo y muy bien mezclada.
