SKOLA / DEBT is a new single by a recently formed collaboration project between @Shaknis & @Egzotikka. A raw story about a devastating breakup built around self-destruction, toxic relationship and mental gymnastics. It was recorded during the summer of 2022 using lead and bass guitars, Polivoks, Roland drum machines and other various analog instruments.

The collaborative process forced both producers to extend their skillset by exchanging experience which resulted in a fast, grungy, electro-sounding post punk track. Two producers with different backgrounds contributing to the emerging Lithuanian post-punk scene.

The release is accompanied by an impressive reduction woodcut print design by Nerijus Dubsta that perfectly renders the track into a visual piece of art.

In the latest release from Public System Recordings we are allowed a look further into the syrupy synth dripping slowed beatdown. 

Kluentah delivers a chalky electro smash with elongated snares and eerie chords passing from one end of the brain to the other, and to the floor. 

There is smooth vocal play as well as allowing for incoherent out of context speech samples that stab through minimal jumpy drum work. 

As diabolical and heavy as the hits and bass is, this enters the swath of dance floor records with a distinct flavor that sets itself above others' execution. 

Full of sludgy breaks, there is a constant reduction even as sounds and samples are introduced, they enter the roving mulch in a stylish slide.

It’s up to the slow-erosion beat “Ancient Prog” to shut the A side: r-rated bassline entering the realms of hypnotic hallucinations. Inspired by a distorted crime-scene imaginary, “Blood on the Pavement” by Athens based slowed-down music wizard Anatolian Weapons is Marguerite Records’ 9th release.
Front side, entirely curated by the Greek producer, contains 3 EBM-esque, mid tempo dancefloor ready cuts - ranging from the trippy 303 workout in “Blood on the Pavement” on A1 to the more stripped down “The Word is Hate” on A3.
Flip side is a proper Daniel Holt takeover! First cut it’s his version of the title track, characterized by an all around saturation, an heavy tom workout and a VHS sounding synth lead. On B2 the Nashville artist takes on “Death on the Pavement” and brings an unexpected New Beat taste to the jam.
