Public Pleasure has started its mission! But how does it feel to be the first one to release on an all-new techno label? If it should be frightening to step out and explore new worlds, Leo Kane is the right guy to accept the challenge. Not only is he an experienced DJ who rocked many well-known clubs in his hometown Munich, he is also a big science fiction fan and thereby always attracted to reach out to the final frontier. For his debut on Public Pleasure he merged NASA recordings of spaceship impulses, radiotraffic commands and sparkeling star dust with a touch of Detroit techno into three deep driving tracks for a dance journey to the final frontier.

Public Pleasure are proud to present Foam Electric’s first release after a musical break of almost 20 years. Well known for their Techno live sets in their former homebase Stuttgart (OZ, Neue Heimat etc.) and their releases e.g. on the legendary label Mutter Tonträger Marko and Patrick re-united in 2018 for stage appearances and new productions bringing us their classic electro-inspired Techno back from the Unknown. The new EP starts minimalistic and deep with the retro-future track Machine, followed by the catchy Acid-inspired Tripolar and the groovy Foamaldehyd. It is closed by a dark and intoxicating Remix of Machine by Public Pleasure’s resident producers Leo Kane and Michaelous. Welcome back dancing!

Foam Electric - Back From The Unknown (EP)

Craving for some 80ies retro tribute sound because everything was better past then? Here you go! Tastefully combined 1984s Italo Disco and Synth Pop lines with a pinch of guarantied digitally controlled oscillatorcultivation on top. To complete the delicacy its garnished with game console chiptunes and some future-multiplexed vocoder sound. The original is remixed by the Bern/Munich based duo Foam Electric in it's known for and unique alpine manner and by Nicaraguan Duo Telex-Two with it's always emphasised patternbased programming.

MicroBros - Chromedioxide

After returning Back from the unknown and their remix journey through time and into the sound aesthetics of the 80s, Foam Electric devote themselves to the diverse manifestations of VOID. The emotional apex of the dramaturgy of the cinemascope-esque techno track Blade, is followed by the enigmatic authority of the noisefloor in the straight banger After Hours. Finally, the oppressive absence of the protagonists emotional experience is set to music in The Fall – a deliciously danceable breakbeat track. As always, a common child of the popular live performances by Foam Electric. Originally produced as set refiner, free of the mainstream and - as usual - born from the fun of the game.

This month our dear friend, DJane and producer Sandra Gold delivers a tastefully crafted mix of techno & electro tracks that ignites our party-mood instantly. 
Sandra is an active part of the house & techno community for 30 years now, has released numerous tracks on various labels, the latest of which is a remix for Giorgio Moroder on Solaris Records, and has her own event series with Discotribe on a regular basis. PleasureCast #4 is performed by our very first guest DJ Mark Twain. 

Born in Munich and raised in the Bavarian mountains, Mark experienced his musical “that’s it!” as he listened to a mixtape of a techno party with his friends. Inspired by Mate Galic and the weekly “Housefrau” broadcast on VIVA, his desire to become a DJ developed more and more. In 2000 he moved to Munich to study audio engineering, while further gigs in clubs and at events followed, e.g. at F.E.T. parties in Feierwerk Munich, Prison Club Landau, Alte Mälze Regensburg, Berlin Loveparade, Watergate Ottobrunn and the Loveboat series at Chiemsee and the Danube.

Mark Twain was inspired by „Ion” from Leo Kane´s recent „Voyager” release (available now on Beatport and all major plattforms https://linktr.ee/publicpleasure) and merged it into a skillful and hard hitting mix.

You just can´t get enough? We can’t either, so here is PleasureCast #5 with more than 3 hours of finest techno – compiled by our guest DJ Freddy Klein.

Hooked by Loco Dice and Moonbootica mixes as well as countless nights in the previous @harrykleinclub crazy catboy Freddy borrowed a mixer and two trashy turntables in 2006 and went on a quest for those magical electronic sounds. While his record collection began to exceed the capacity of his own flat, he started to play on his friends´ hangouts and BBQs until he was discovered/spotted and taken on board by the motley Capsolé artist collective. Since then, he celebrates his understanding of the crowd as warmup, peak or all-night-long on a wonderful glittering journey through southern Germany´s club scene.

Being born in 1982, R.Beat was infected with the electronic virus early in the 1990's by artists like the prodigy, thomas schumacher and yves deruyter. While roaming through various genres for nearly 20 years, it took him till 2018 to finally make his first steps behind the decks.
After having learned the basic craft from the grande Munich DJ Linus, the first gigs followed at palais club, lenbachs & soehne and gute laune in 2019. During that time he teamed up with his brother in crime Holocene for some wild and groovy B2B-sets. While club life stands still, he is further working on his skills and looking forward to a fresh start.

Sebastian Fleischer aka Djoker usually plays in clubs like Magdalena and KitKat (Berlin) or Kantine (Salzburg) and on festivals like Grüne Sonne or Zuckerbrot & Peitsche. Captivated by the legendary Sommersafari Open-Airs he started DJing in 2001 and producing in 2006. His tracks were released by labels like Traumschallplatten, Redrum, Neuhain, Ostfunk, Treibjagd, Lauter Unfug and many others and can be found in playlists of Richie Hawtin, Simina Gigurio, Josh Wink and Gregor Tresher. „This is The“ from 2020 will be included in „Techno Journey Vol. 18“ (from October 30th on all major platforms) together with Leo Kane´s track „Event Horizon“.
